we love the most

Universal Play
poetryofdhiman Mar 2018
Lie with me
under this cosmic gallery
and witness the universal play
as the stars take backstage and
the moon tiptoeing behind the clouds
takes center stage
the sky is its background
and the clouds are its curtain
all through the night
the stars keep on shimmering behind
and the moon in its silvery grace
silences everything else
lie with me and
watch how the night rolls on
and the moon plays hide and seek
behind the white and grey clouds
until the sun appears with its torchlight.

The Night Falls
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
the night falls
behind the curtain of the black sky
with a silver coloured bulb called moon
floating weightlessly in the background,
together with the billions of stars
shimmering like the glow-worms.

the clouds fly here and there
with the joy of becoming grey again
leaving behind the dry memories
of summer and sunny days
hoping to become raindrops again
and fall on the soft leaves of earth.

from the other side of the street
our soulless eyes meet,
we send waves of cravings
for our broken hearts to hold
but we don't step forward
you stayed back, i don't move either
we walk along the side of the road,
we smile at each other,
and watch ourselves
getting vanished into the distant,
this is what has become of us:
silent and afraid, forever...

We have become ghosts to each other, unknown and afraid...

Hope, The Antidote
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
hope is the antidote,
the torch that transforms
darkness into light,
sadness into ecstacy,
it is the window through which
the sun sends its first ray of light,
the womb that gives birth to joy
and nurtures it,
till it blooms into happiness.

Hope is always the antidote to every heartbreak you have, for every suffering you deal with. It is the light to see the path...

Broken Smile
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
although she was broken
she still picked up her smile
and wore it like lipstick
knowing that the world
will make it fake and dry
but she hated showing it
to the world that did not care,
not once about her broken soul.

The Woods And Me
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
the woods are lonely like I am here today
lonely within myself without the real me
while the woods have one another
to hold each other in times of need
I have none by my side
not even my own self
the woods never chase sunrays
even when they are lonely in darkness
while I have lost myself
in chasing
all the things that I never wanted...

Teenage Days
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
in my days of teenage
i held you within me
with a silent love
that you didn't feel
and i kept on loving you
day by day
while you never felt it back
my little heart
became filled
with a love so pure
where dreams travelled
all day long
making moons and stars
decorating a house of love

If I Had Wings
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
if I had wings
like the birds
flying in the summer rain
I would have gone
to your city
by the street
where you walk everyday
to your sweet home
and sat there
on the window sill
at the side of your bed
where you sleep at night
like a princess of my dream
I would have caressed your face
and left kisses on your lips and cheek

Broken
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
We are all broken
tiny pieces of
jumbled up life,
waiting
to be rediscovered
rejoined
into something
as we embark on our journey
to become whole again
while some of us
are just too jumbled up
to be reassembled...

Still Here
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
I stood there
while you walked over the moon
into the darkness of the night.
I called you,
loudly,
then gently
as I watched you get vanished
somewhere into the lap of the unknown.
I glanced at your footmarks,
but soon they left me too
and I remained silent and lonely,
to this day,
I'm standing here,
where you left me
to get lost in my way...

A Sunny Story
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
The baby sun,
washed by the sea,
smiling at
the snow filled mountains
less brightly,
than the summer mornings.

 Younger
than the moonlit nights,
it artfully kisses
and embraces
the forehead of
the sleeping stars.

Untold
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
Everything
That you said
And all the things
That I spoke,
Lost in the crowd of
Everything
That was left untold.

Caves Of Snow
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
Far away in the distant land
Where songs of lost summer
Still humming over the green valleys
There the old trees cover their arms
Stuffed in white suits of frost
Winter winds there blow them hard
And quietly fill the caves of snow.

Silent Cry
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
I thought you were hiding
behind your tears,
the little droplets
that ran down your cheeks
and caressed your lips,
but little did I know
the pain you held
within your chest
telecasted through
your silent cries.

Some cries are covered in smiles...look behind them and you'll witness pain like never before...

My Father's Shoes
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
When I was six,
I didn't tie my shoelaces,
not because I didn't know how to
but because I didn't have shoes back then,
so I wore my father's old shoes
after many years of his death,
ragged from all sides.
Though my little toes
fitted in them just fine
they never gave me the comfort
that I craved from my father's side.
I would walk down the street
on wintery mornings of December
in my father's shoes
while the chilly wind
played hide and seek with my feet.

Stranger
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
Stranger! You walked right by me
When my world wasn't this big
And I wrote my little stories
On the leaves of my father's diary
You showed me life's mysteries
That it holds always something
More than we anticipate
And heartily expect from it.

Artist Universe
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
The world is building and breaking,
With each breath we take and release, But even in those little moments
Of building and breaking,
There's something more
That stands silently on its feet,
Humbly and artfully,
That is Life,
The most mysterious creation of this universe.

Rocks
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
I like watching how the rocks
float on the wet and dry grounds
along with the time that passes by
I like watching how they break sometimes
how the cracks on them
become visible
but somehow they survive
days and months and years
even when their cracks open up
raindrops and sunshine
enter into their old broken bodies
they bear the pain and stay silent
for they still find their way to stay
for as long as they wish to stay...

Light
poetryofdhiman Feb 2018
I thought I was alone
like a young leaf
fallen on the field
nothing to look forward to
waiting for an inevitable end
to come and take me away
into the hopeless land of the unknown
but I was wrong
I didn't look at the other way
the way from which the sun shone
the path that was still there,
calm and bright as usual
but I was afraid,
afraid of the light
that I was craving
so I closed my eyes
took a deep breath
turned back
and moved towards the light

Blustery Wind

Blustery wind howling, whimpering
Creating the silence of the arctic
Wintery desolation sounds jingling
Breathing coziness, feeling mystic

Hazy sunlight relentlessly shimmering
Idyllic nature soothes the traveler
Zippy morning tremendously lingering
Rhythmic chillness of winter

Abundant Beauty
poetryofdhiman Mar 2017
Like a shining star in the black night sky
born to radiate happiness and smile
Like a drop of rain on a deserted mountain
created to spread hope and passion

Like the flowers in a verdant forest flow
Born to shine with all the grace and glow
Like the new morning brings new life
Created to beam with freedom and love

Like the beauty of nature at it's most serene
Born to spread peace and harmony
Like the rays of the sun brings warmth
Created to inspire and motivate

You too are created to inspire and live
With a soul of abundant beauty

Shadow Of His Light
poetryofdhiman Jan 2017
Here I am
On the rocky shores of life
Climbing and falling
Drowning and breathing
All at once
Not knowing where I belong
Crushes my serenity
Pushes me towards the darkness
With chains binding me from behind
I look behind with a deep breath
Hoping to find the shadow of His light

Windows Of Cloud
poetryofdhiman Jan 2017
Roaming all over the sky
The small and big white clouds
Dancing upon one another
Wearing bluish feathers of life
Behind the windows of clouds
An enormous fireball hiding
Empowering all living creations
Reflecting the glimpses of life
With its golden rays of smile

Fog Outside My Window
poetryofdhiman Jan 2017
Fog closes in outside my window
Though I try to look, to see, beyond
Where my imaginary golden paddies are
Standing on their December feet by the pond

My mind wonders outside, to wash it away
To let the wintery sunbeams arrive
Inside the dark shelves of my caged heart
Where my little dreams are still alive

A gust of chilly wind touches my bare face
Whispering memories of winter from childhood
Eyes closing, I feel inside the same little child
Unaware of the coming tests of his boyhood
