i write to forget about you,
but every sentence,
every word,
and every letter
turns and shifts and twists
and searches and cries
and screams
for you,
but i write.

Somehow
I ended up
With ink on my skin
Blue in my hair
Scrapes up my arms and down my legs
Blurting obscure quotes
My eyes painted black
My smile real
Authenticity at its finest
A diploma on my wall
At last
Somehow
I ended it
Strong
I want to thank my graduating class for making my life hell but also making it worth living.
Thank you all, undaunted evermore~

Graduation came early in the month of June

I stood in line, waiting to enter the room

You were right there, beside me with a look of gloom.

you asked out loud, "do i really need to wear this [cap] the whole time?"

and i was the only one to answer, "of course! we're graduating."

I watched you the entire time, clapping louder than everyone when you were called.

However, unlike my cacophonous clapping. I remained silent, even though every fiber of me wanted to tell you,

**I've been in love with you since junior year.
and i'll never see you again.

Ever look to the night sky beyond tiring windscreen wipers?
They screech, exasperated by an army of droplets hurtling downwards.
Ever lean on the dashboard gazing upwards into the downpour?
Constant and linear; like how stars zoom past spaceships in old movies.
A whole universe of dazzling stars.
That's how she lived; her aura a universe peppered with light.
Light forever radiating towards captivated eyes.
Oh, she loved with a love unparalleled.
I used to be a philophobic
Then I met you
Six words about you
aren't enough
Because of you,
I write
And if only you knew
You're there
In every piece of the poems
I write
Your lips,
they're as red as cherries
and as sweet as Sherry

I'm pretty sure
only a sip of them
can get me drunk

But darling,
if it's your lips that I kiss
I'm willing to get intoxicated
A glass of wine won't get you drunk.
