This lil
Dragon fly

Came across the waters
Of my eyes

An electrical
             Blue
               Foil
          With glitter

Where i looked
A lot

She danced
And from a ponds glance
Her wings held a beautiful body

               I noticed

When she flew by

Past

She didn't say anything
But anything
Said she laughed

I saw her smile
Taller than a giraffe

This lil
Dragon fly

Buzzing around
            My head

Standing in my doorway
After an evening out with friends
He asked can I give you a kiss
I said yes
But I kept giggling
And giggling
Every time he got close
I kept giggling
I kept giggling
I couldn't stop
Obvious nerves
He waited so patient for me to stop
But I didn’t stop
Finally he covered my eyes

First kiss

I came to your doorstep
When I was a broken and
Dripping in pain

You kindly took me in
And repaired
Me into the woman
I am today

Granted I am still broken
In places
But less ashamed of the
Things that broke me

There is still a long
Journey ahead
But I know I have you
By my side

The world tells me
That I need to be tough
And cold
To make it in this
Ruthless world

I don’t want that for myself
Cause I know what loneliness
Feels like
I have no intention of
Going through
That again

It’s a crazy world but
Somebody has to live in it.
