Headstone
the name,
the date,
and the man's fate.


Whatever unknown, all is certain;
that death shall pull the curtain.

Just as a Turtle pulls back it's
Head and limbs into the shell, when at serious risk

You also pull back your sense organs from  the deadly fascination of wordly objects

She was taught to look up at the sky...
To find love in the stars, moons and the galaxies that danced an unknown song...

But...

She taught her heart to look into her own self...
And then did she found her love...
In the universe of her cells...that had been playing  a familiar tune since she had been born to live!

He would let me break every bone in his body
Just for me to let him love me

But then I'd break his heart

I look back on the way my heart jumped
The way he made my love filled blood pump
And I fail to understand
I do not know how I loved everything so small, even holding his hand
How can love just come and go?
When he stopped loving me, how did I not know?
His eyes must have sparkled at the idea of leaving me
My absence was the reason he smiled gladly
I never looked for the signs of this
I was the definition of ignorance is bliss
My heart knew all along
But my brain was saying it had to be wrong
When they say trust your gut they never say which one
