A raging river
of conscious thoughts
breaks my minds dam
rushing
Love
(pain)
AllThoseDaysGoneBy
flooding
all I am
sweeping away
the present
pouring me into
the vast ocean
of all my
unthought thoughts
still to come

We are writers and poets who know how to express
We can define our feelings a lot more or a lot less
Why were we cursed with the ability to feel?
The feelings of life that are so painfully real...

We can make music by writing what we desire
Turning simple paper into a passionate fire
We can sway hearts by symbolizing love and creation
Or break another's by turning words into death and temptation

We are the cursed race of scholars who turn words into weapons
We can draw blood with a phrase in a matter of seconds
We are dedicated authors with emotions so heavy
That one word from us that is read or heard can be deadly

Words are our weapons, our friends and our foes
Even a writer or poet has demons that only we know
Each line is a battle and each piece is a war
We are writers and poets and we will write forevermore

Dead Lock
Kiss me through open windows
Sing to me through hinges in the door
Embrace my stocking feet
Between the crack in the floor
Relive my aching heart
Of the pain that stains it black
Spred my sorrows far apart
Until they never think of coming back
Please never leave me
Be there when my world finally ends
Stay with me my companion
Keep blowing, my dear friend

Dear you:

Laugh and cry, remember to live,
With every day that comes, love and give,
There’s only one “you,” hope your dreams come true,
Make those worries disappear, and know that God loves you,
Your gonna fly, and your gonna fall,
But that’s okay, because best of all,
Your a person with gifts, a person with style,
And we all make mistakes, and it can take a while,
To realize the person within every person,
That no matter how small, we’re all loved,
                      By our Father above.

dancing on the streetlights

Throughout our marriage,
I wanted to please one man, you.

It broke my heart in more ways than two,
When i found out it was different for you.

You got pleasure from me, so you say
But dreamed and schemed to get what she and all the others can give you, even if you'll have to pay.

A favor you could grant,
A simple chore, a lift , perhaps to start.
Then what?
Gifts?
Bags, shoes and all.
A car, a house et al.

Who knows what else your lust might demand from you.

You didn't realize that as you gave,
You lost.

You gave her your eyes,
You lost my trust.
You gave of your time,
You lost our peace.
You gave her a piece of your heart,
You lost mine that you vowed never to part.

All for what?
For a night.
For pleasure.
For lust.

I have obviously failed you,
Did it ever cross your mind that if you'd had her, you might've failed her too?

All throughout our marriage,
I wanted to please one man, you.
Now i wonder, could there be another man who could please me too?
