You may not have been birthed in the soil,
and granted,
you will not blossom
when spring melts winters wake
but inside of you
grows a thousand gardens
full of exploding stars.
You are of the earth
and your ashes
have been constructed with stardust,
and set free with the wind.
So you may not have a pretty face,
and your body may hold stories
of too many moonless nights alone.
But if you reach inside,
you will find a forest
for a ribcage
and a restless ocean heart.
So don't ever let anyone tell you
you are nothing.
You are a galaxy
holding a million different planets,
and my dear,
that is not nothing.

I will do what the stinging tattoo on my ankle says
The one that i stabbed into my skin all by myself
The one that says breathe.

Breathe for the belief that everything will be okay
Breathe because scars heal faster that way
Breathe for the sake of renewal, health, and love
Breathe because thats what i was once taught as a small child

Breathe for the sake of not falling deeper
and deeper
into panic.

Breathe because even though i am scared of falling
of hurting
of not knowing
I will be OKAY

Breathe because it is our ******* right to do so
and breathe because my tattoo says so

1.) By the time you're reading this, you are probably bigger than I am right now & I just want to let you know that Mom, Dad, Brother, Friends (Real friends though, I hope you already met them by now) & I is and am proud & will always be proud of what you decide to be.

2.) Never ever forget where you came from & who was with you through your journey. Never forget to thank them.

3.) Always, always forgive. But, do not easily forget.

4.) Please control your nativity. Do not easily fall for a person's words/actions.

5.) The worst things in life comes free to us.

6.) Always remember to use your talents. Improve it. Share it. You have potential even though your past self didn't have any.

7.) Don't be afraid to fall in love. It's not a surprise that by now, you're either experiencing a heart ache or you've gone through one before. Or you could be madly in love with someone. Just try to love yourself more, please.

8.) Putting yourself first sometimes is okay. It does not & will never mean selfishness.

9.) Beware of the phrases "I'll always be here for you." "I am not leaving" etc. You cannot always decide when someone has to leave your life. The greater one might leave first then the worst. Some people will leave you, expect that. I'll hope and I'll pray that God shows you differently.

10.) By now, your experience has leveled up and you've been through things. It might change your perspective & goals. Go seek your great perhaps. You can do it, I believe in you.
and your grammar at 3:22 am will probably improve

a cigarette burn
thats what you are
always leaves a scar
your **** marlboro lights
leaving a permanent mark on me
in more ways than one
you said my love was a mistake
all i could say was
baby its a mistake i want to make
the kind of love we had wasn’t love at all
when you tell someone you need them
i guess thats when they leave
you have me thinking
you were right after all
that dosnt help me forget
memories like these shouldn’t feel like a burn
sweet things tarnished
from the hate i should feel for you
i just wish you hadn’t
whispered love songs in my ear
like you were really the one
that wrote the words
i remember your smile
the feeling of your lips on my neck
and even worse
how you said i love you
i didn’t know whiskey
made people say things quite like that

we sat in a waterless pool,
the shattered leaves gathered in disorder at its peeling concrete bottom.
the white walls laced with chaotic lines led us to believe that our feet had created those spidery veins reaching the length of the pool
a rufescent glow graced our cheeks and the chill was welcome so long as we sat side by side
it was comforting
sitting in a place that wasn't exactly what it was supposed to be.
lounging in a place usually inhabited in warmer months by children with far less worries than we
we heard calls coming from up the road and knew it was time to scale the fence again

I take bright red ink

                  and decorate my arms

I haven't done this art

                  in a while

I take a clean blade

                  and double check my vitality

I have done this

                  every night this week
Staggered strokes,
Staggered slices.

They always compare love to a burning fire
And say, " you ignited my heart into flames"
But you were the frozen furnace
The ancient stove that no one ever bothered to heat up
You were cold down to the core and I had electrical heat running through my veins
And everytime I touched you you gave me frostbite
I tried so hard but you were too numb
And sooner or later,
I ran out of match sticks to keep this pathetic excuse of a fire alive
Because I was the forest fire and your were the water that drowned me
