Honeybee
the blood running through my veins
cold as ice
as I test my luck
with a role of the dice
except
instead of money
my life
is on the line

lately i’ve been
                          too tired
to get the words out.

                                           you always seemed to
energize me

but i’m alone now.

            with no energy source.

and no where to turn.

but to the bad place again.
it’s been four days. i’m trying. please
The sun and moon sharing the sky
Their love radiating from opposite edges of life's greatest masterpiece
When looking up at the amazing beauty of the sun and moon out at the same time on opposite sides of the sky.
There is nothing more powerful than that connection.
I gave to you the color blue
I drew it from the sky
I picked the flowers of the field;
red roses, yellow daffodils.
I made a lovely palette
with the brightest color-swirl,
And painted you a picture
with the colors of the world.
For me, you took a rainy day,
you handed me the darkest grey,
but told me it was green

The rain knows
only how to fall heavily,
and still remains beautiful

But I know only the
loneliness of December

Farewell

I fear my brittle heart cannot
bear another harsh winter

On a quiet night
when my soul departs,
do not suffer

Though I will be asleep for
the many winters to come

Tenderly, I shall
embrace thee in a dream

If you wish to grow these
sunflowers within my blue walls

Know that I am a house
the sun never visits, but I have:

Vacant rooms
with burning lovers

Floors
with footprints of dead florists

Albums
with nostalgic photographs of her

A single bed
on my scorching roof

Stairs
that creak to the rhythm of my growing pain

Doors
with engraved haikus

Mirrors
that reflect her image in front of my blue walls

Lover,
I fear the sleep of death
where I dream,
but do not see your face

Lover,
I have not seen you
for two years

Lover!
I fear I am
already dead

Alone
with my ardent longings

Mourning
the mornings I spent in her absence

Three years,
and I still burn, want, and weep

You,
I tried to forget

Does my longing
not reach you?

You,
who abandoned my trembling hands,
it is my dreams you will not leave

But tell me,
is there a cure for longing?
