in winter there escapes some

tendril of whitely bent curlsome
vapor

                  overcoming

crispness into immediate sunlight
a twig of life

                   glowing

barrels toylike against the sea
and is eaten quickly into mute
indelible

In another life,
We must have met
And with undying passion,
Admitted our love and
Lived by it
We must have made memories
And framed them in
Soft vignette
Of holding hands and sharing kisses,
And saying, in our last breaths,
That we would find each other again –
We must have embraced
And remembered the harmony
So that in this life
We could keep our promise
And not ever dream
Of breaking it.
Old one again.

Late at night I sat in the dark
Was about to face the bed
When I got a bad feeling
Something wasn't right
But I quenched the terror
And faced the bed

Just two hours gone by
I stare at the ceiling
No longer night
But not yet day
Sickness overwhelms me
As I stare at the ceiling

How can such a day improve
When nothing started right
But as day closes in
The darkness dissolves
Dare I get hopeful
When nothing started right

The dark winter not yet forgotten
A stream of light flows through
Lurking in the twilight
Awaiting it's return
Is the darkness of yesterday
But now light flows through

The dawn of day now passed
My restless leg bouncing
He educates the class
My head seems clear
Sickness long gone
As I feel my restless leg bouncing

Is my leg betraying me
Is it trying to escape
Find a place of true freedom
If such a place exists
What is it telling me
By trying to escape

It's been a while
Since I've felt this well
The sickness of morning gone
My head is clear, I'm calm
I'm focused, I'm at peace
I've never felt this well

Despite the rough beginning
Daybreak turned the tides
Winter cold still recides
But the sun is shining
Cascading light, beams of heat
The tides turned by daybreak

My leg convulses
What does it want
If I flex my muscles
I can keep control
Keep it from escaping
But is it what I want

Where would it venture
If I let it escape
Would I be welcome
As the partner in crime
Or would I weigh it down
If it escaped

I feel in doubt
Should I let it run
Should I make it stay
Remain in control
Or let it be free
Should I let it run

I yearn to gaze into a lens
to view the outer space.
What my eyes will see all depends
on how I view this place.

Alive and well, stars burn with life;
while others, growing old,
will view these orbs with growing strife
until themselves are cold.

An asteroid falls across the sky
to find its resting place
in the minds of observant eyes
then die without a trace.

A satellite reflects the gleam
of our colossal seas-
vivid as a child's first daydream
to journey where they please.

I yearn to gaze upon these lives
in space that's all but void,
but I open my sightless eyes
where space is none but void.

Our two hearts beat..
rhythmically, they sound so sweet.
Together,  we've set our love ablaze.
Trust me, this is not just a phase.
Our two hearts beat side by side,
forever as one, for the rest of our lives.

For the Sparrows
Their words like fire.
So powerful and setting my heart up in flames
Passion burned in their voices
They knew what they wanted to say
Or rather they did more than say those words
Those talking rock-stars preached, they inflicted,
they roared like the ocean winds on waves,
they seduced, they aroused.
The moment I walked out those doors
I knew I would return.
I found a love there. An underground love.
Now every word I read has fire.
Now every word I write will make a sound.
Perhaps only in my head
the private recording studio,
and maybe someday on the platform of heroes
where your heart must be the one
to set your words on fire.

I've watched as my leaves changed
from emeraldgreen
to jaundiceyellow
and tumbled from their blood vessels,
for my body could no longer support them.

I've witnessed petals descend from blossoms:
a flowergirl tossing the colors into the air
to pave the way for a father to let go of a daughter.

I gazed at buildings and bridges
buckle at their knees
as cornerstones and foundations fail-
Atlas crumbling under the Celestial Sphere.

I've seen many things fall.

But I've never gazed upon a girl,
fear as heavy as millstones
eclipsing her overcastgrey eyes,
ghostwalk off a ledge,
waving a whiteflag
as she plummeted to the ground like a bomb.

Ceiling.

This is an important thing.
This ceiling.

Silence drapes in
light shades of the color
of whatever emotion is occurring

Blooming in cloud shaped ideas about existence,
does a being of consciousness observe itself
looking at the ceiling.

As a being observes itself
it does not look at the minor things
like of its thoughts or
maybe
its persona

No
as a being looking
at this ceiling
we feel the breathing
and we ponder
the very idea of
existence.

This ceiling,
its important.

For the Sparrows
The thought of living there
in this fragment of time
or an era long past
to be present in ancient nations,
fills me with wondrous sensations
and I pray...
oh how I pray,
that when I open my eyes
the castles and cathedrals,
will remain beneath the skies.
Let the bells chime.
Hear that powerful ring.
In this fragment of time,
how I would love
to connect my skin to the stone
and hear their stories of old.
To live within their walls,
for as long as I live.
My home is always in my heart.
oh how I pray,
for more adventures to start.
