I thought I had forgotten
what with spring came back to me
Words unuttered thoughts we stirred
of the way things use to be

I remember the dark door
where we hid from all the rain
A dry respite from the storm
safe in arms I'd felt no pain

I went back to the small doorway
where happily our loves had played
My heart ached for what could have been
if behind that door we had stayed

With wild, spring, rain, and thunder
something wondrous comes this way
Your eyes had said more that night
than your lips could ever say

Sometimes the thoughts of the mind take me back to times that seem like yesterday. However the day has set on those times and the new day risen on better ones.

I come from the gutter; did I stutter?
Between you and me; it’s one or the other.
Had your back; until we turned on one another.
Testing fate is like playing darts in the dark.
Life changes, people getting picked apart.
Real recognize real: keep playing your part.
New beginnings; no idea where to start.
Life’s a *****; no need for a heart to heart.
Ace up both sleeves; she likes them sharp.
Fat ***** singing; I’m ******* her harp.
You only life once; half the time you are in the dark.
Chasing the American dream; in Congress Park.

Kissing never lies
It tells a woman everything she needs to know
About the kind man your are inside

Me...you and I. I'm not sure if you and I are on the same page, have the same ideas, desire the same things. If you do why act like were such strangers. I thought that all along  things were going on just fine well not fine but excellent but to realize that I was actually doing too much. Pushing you away from me... drowning you in what I thought was love. It seems like I was actually dragging life out of that word.. or is it an expression... an action.. who knows. I believe that anyone can make a definition of that one word.. Love. Im sorry if I crippled you in all my thoughts... thinking what is and ignoring what if. I just want the best for us cause I do love you.. I really doo

Thunder

What was more startling than the intense roar of thunder
sounding through the ever growing darkness
beyond my door,
was the sudden realization
that nothing would ever be as it once was
and never would it be again

Though the rain must fall
to brighten the days ahead
nothing was certain now
nor of tomorrow
and tomorrow again

Certainty had vanished along with the thunder
and left the darkness
beyond my door

I remember

I remember the pain.
I remember crying my self to sleep every night for months.
I remember not being able to breathe when I thought of you.
I remember comparing everything to you.
I remember pretending I was happy.
I remember realizing nothing would ever be the same.
I remember remembering our love.
I remember figuring out I would never stop loving you.
And I still haven't.
You have the greatest power over me.
I would do anything for you.
Always have.
Always will.
You wouldn't do the same for me.
Never have.
Never will.
But I still love you
Because I remember
Who you are.
Who you were.
I remember the look on you face after our first kiss.
I remember the beating of your heart when I laid my head against your chest.
I remember the warmth of your body against mine in the cold autumn air.
I remember the taste of your lips.
I remember the sparkle of your eyes.
Most of all I remember what it felt like to love you and have you truly love me back.

Madness stricken they left me here
to rot in my own sanity
a lost soul
burdened to dwell within the halls
of my broken mind

this is my cross to bare
and none shall ever know
on the outside I'm just myself
but inside I died long ago.

  You came from clear air
  Pure sky
  Of our being
  Wellspring of desire
Your fierce intelligence pressing on me
There are not enough minutes to the day
  Show Yourself
  Your lips
  From which issue
  The flaming tongues
  Of my poem

Aer glan

As aer glan a tháinís
As spéir íon
Ár mbeatha
As tobar ár ndúile
D’éirim á brú orm go fíochmhar
Níl dóthain nóimintí sa lá
Nocht Tú féin
Do bheola
As a séideann
Teangacha lasracha
Mo dháin

Working for our future
putting our money away
ready and waiting for our retirement day

Businesses closing
banks shutting
The world in recession
Pensions cutting
Working all our life
Never living free
I'll end up working until the day I die
you wait and see

No more money
It's all gone
Giving up our futures one by one
putting our money away
ready and waiting for our retirement day
