in the full richness of time
with my hand in yours
with my heart in yours
you will see
the truth of loves knowin
you will see the beautiful truth of our lives joined
breathing as one
being one
lovers
kiss me
give yourself to me
you will see
I have been born to this affluent world
Rich with diversity and nature’s delight
So many wonders mesmerize me
Benevolence is the essence of this abode
The microcosm reflecting the magnanimity
Immediately I was accepted as a tenant
Being fed from the abundance of cultivation
Fertile soils yielding bountiful harvest
Feeding me to make me stronger
I walk upon this earth with pride and joy
To see mankind and animal kingdom thrive
The camaraderie between and nature and us
It still does not say, “You owe me”
We are indebted to this planet for the largesse
Yet, not rich enough to pay back the debt
I am just a tenant, wonder if I can repay
Only way I can do that is by nurturing love within
And not to destroy this space at will
Only I can love the earth with my heart
And help, in my way to nurture its purity
Many more to come after me can be a tenant here
Let this be a reminder, we are not here to plunder
I search for you in everything I see
everything I have
making you seem almost tangible
present
and when all I find are pieces of hair and the shirt you left in my closet
I'll collapse in a heap on the floor
holding your shirt to my chest
as I sing the words you sang to me that Sunday night
on the ridge
telling me you couldn't love me anymore than you did in that moment

and you repeated those words
everyday
until one day you stopped saying it
stopped murmuring I love you in my ear
stopped speaking to me altogether
kicking me to the curb like I was the garbage on Thursday's
shutting the door in my face as I cry out to you
until the voice leaves my throat and I'm
torn

you are in every single fiber of me
like the blood running in my veins I feel you pressing against me
the warmth of you
invading my body and taking homage
in every single cell
until I become you
absorbing the way you laugh and the way you sound at 5 in the morning

I search for you in all the stars of the sky
finding your face in the constellations
hearing your voice in the crickets chirping wildly
as if singing a forbidden song they can't help but repeat constantly
my mumbled words to you get lost in the chirping
not knowing if somewhere
somehow
you can hear me

I hope you do
She is the first springtime shower
a fresh promise of something new
The foundation to newfound life around her
a persona of all that is true

Soon, she is a summer downpour
A welcome respite from scorching heat
Every drop i crave, every storm near surrounds me
Her water is soon air, an overwhelming necessity

Later, an autumn storm.
Accompanied by a bite
A wind so harsh and bitter
Makes me forget her first spring life

And lastly, a soft snowfall.
Her floods have turned to ice
Frozen and forgotten
The damage heals with time

Storms must come full circle
none truly have an end
But to have known this girl,
What a privilege.
She was a living monsoon,
a friend.
Make what you want of this, but in my opinion, it is a story about relationships, and the different stages of them that are experienced. It was also inspired by Looking For Alaska, one of my favourite books, and my take on Pudge's relationship with Alaska. So yeah, that's basically it, I'll be quiet now haha
I have this notion

I've had for some time

When it comes into motion

It brings you to mind

When it brings you to mind

I never regret

Having this notion

Of you in my head
O cool is the valley now
And there, love, will we go
For many a choir is singing now
Where Love did sometime go.
And hear you not the thrushes calling,
Calling us away?
O cool and pleasant is the valley
And there, love, will we stay.
