If you have to be mad,
be madly in love with me,
if you fall,
fall in love with me,
if you hold something,
hold my hand not grudges,
if you have to take something,
take my heart,
if you have to run,
run into my arms.
I'm yours,
take me.

is in
the eye
of the beholder.

Such as, youth
as one grows older

Warmth,
as love grows colder

And strength,
to go on
once it is over.
Just have to look.

You greeted me with your smile.
You greeted me with your kindness.

I started to really fall for you.

You blinded me with your love.
You blinded me with your care.

I started to really love you.

You pushed me on the bed.
You pushed me against the wall.

I started to really resent you.

You broke my arm once.
You broke my heart many times.

I started to really hurt inside.

You cut me with your words.
You cut me with your fist.

I don't want to bleed no more.

Did you hear the one about the girl
Who fell in love with a boy who was in love with the world

In transience his passions  reside
They come and they go with the swing of the tide

A sun reflecting one side of the moon
He waxes and wanes and leaves too soon

No face and no name
It matters not, they’re all the same

If only he would linger
but he possesses a poet’s finger

He cannot stay, he seeks inspiration
Seeking sustenance from other’s adulation

Old Soul
Blues, Greens, Neon Pinks
Swirling all around
Jumping Around, Upside Down
Hanging from the sink

Hiding in the cupboard
Collapsing on the bed
You are not here with me
You think I'd get it in my head

But although I think I see you
I should really get the clue
This world is a crazy world
And maybe I'm just crazy too
My first poem that I very hastily threw together.

I need to escape the past,
But how do I escape that which has made me,
That which has developed me,
As a film,
Pressed with the stains of a forgotten time
But a remembered pain.

How do I forget the past I created and in turn used
To create me and my knowledge,
The power I use to circumnavigate
the treacherous waters of the present,
A present so wilted by my distaste and displeasure
One simply cannot fall away
And out of the depression the past creates.

How can something like the past, in the past
Be so current,
Ruling the present and so Forward
As to rule the future.

How can I escape the past,
The past which built me?
Is to ask how can the house escape its builder
When without it, I would suffer no grandeur
And experience no appreciation.

The past has built me,
Moulded me,
The faint moss washing over.

My past has led me to this present,
The present I am so grateful for,
How could I wish it undone?

I am not my past...
But I am my Past's creation,
Who are you??

I think it's cute how your face scrunches up when you laugh.
Your eyes squint into slits.
Your nose crinkles.
Your mouth opens.
Your small, baby-like, teeth flash.
It makes me laugh because it's cute.
You do it way too often,
and it makes my day better,
to be honest.
Your laugh causes me to laugh,
which makes my day better.

A crescent moon,
No,
A glowing spoon
Dipping into the wells of my mind.
Inspired ink swells;
Eternal Aphrodisiac.

Take a bite off the apple,
For the arrow peirced the skull.
Force fed trees,
Dead,
Dying in a hole.

The fire burns this morning,
Brighter than last night.
External complacency,
Is it worth the fight?

Yes,

Because as Carpe Diem,
My creed of me,
Means I can't stop,
Until the bow string snaps again,
And my heart bleeds.

Carpe Diem
My soul for you to drink from

Smiling politely in the local store,
another happy shopper that most would ignore,
but what torrid secrets lay under her grin
the tainted stigma of that hidden sin,

she wraps up her fears with the things that she’s bought,
packed into bags without a thought,
the knots in her stomach drive her insane,
for she knows that tonight there’ll  be anguish and pain,

She drinks her coffee and stares at the clock,
It’s ticking hands seem to laugh and mock,
her doleful eyes are starting to mist,
as she thinks of the bruises made by his fist,

Violently  thrown onto a bed,
pinned down and stifled as if she was dead,
pretends not to feel the hatred and pain,
as her virtue is stolen again and again,

She’s sick of the broken promises and lies,
prays to a God who never replies ,
Its all tucked away where no one can see,
longing for the day that her soul will be free.
I wrote this for my Niece who was a victim of domestic violence and abuse from her husband, she suffered in silence for over 4 years.  It also speaks out for anyone who is going through this right now or has also been a victim.  I hope you will read this and realize that you don't need to suffer alone and that there is a way out, my niece is now on the road to recovery and has a new loving, caring partner.

She shined at me,
through ample crowded skies.
She threw me a platinum smile.
She exuded a heart that shone like a stone,
a brilliant quartz crystal,
A purplish glow.
She seemed so wholly fully to pop.
A plane passed  her by with lights flying like a wild crazy kaleidoscope top.
A sparkling disco ball.
What an equation to be hold,
tonight,
my moon's not solid gold.
My eyes were transfixed on her so shining glow,
With her all seeing eyes,
how much does she know?
What's to become of civilization?
As her beautiful eyes,
May bear witness to such desecration.
I love her,
The lady Diana,
Entrancing.
Beautiful.
The queen of the skies.
My dear lady moon,
Oh to see through your eyes.
