They played upon the tapestry of  night,
Unsettled in the places of  secluded light.
All was deathly not realizing their plight,
As shadows clinging to everything in sight.

Breezes cut upon nerves, as breath fell like snow
Moments felt frozen, surrounded by unknown
Clambering in haste, the calls of a single crow
Its voice echoed as if to tell of those below.

Enveloped was distance no end in view
The chills clawed, what was seen even true
As lights of the road beckoned each step they grew
Each did extinguish and then we knew.

Light was a honey trap like moths to a flame
Drawn like bee to honey, our stupidity to blame.
It called to each one of us asked us our name,
We fell silent, each breath darkness now claimed.

It was like an echo, an echo always heard
What would happen when it
Ceased,
Refrained,
Terminated
Its toll upon my thoughts,
But I found others heard this calling
Never voiced whispered unheard.

Raeh eseht sdrow nekops
Resaeler morf slioc htrib
Eht yek sah won denrut

Liked garbled refection knowing what
Is unknown, heeded as whispers
Clinging to me, a brushed off shudder
As what was a breath now clawing at my inner ear,

"Leave me alone,

"I just spoken to air,

Do you hear the voice, the one next to me said?

"Yes,

"Don't worry friend they'll not last,

"How long have you heard these thoughts,

Since I was born, I have known there meaning
Were yours garbled nonsense?

"Yes,

I understood the first one long ago, now just
Comfort these thoughts.
Like music on my soul, easing my moments

"There singing to me now a lullaby of.......

"Nurse,
"Nurse,

Tears escaped my stained eyes, How could...

"Sorry he's gone,
"Did you know him long,

The nurse spoke cold, then the child was gone
Eleven years old,

To young on this earth for him to be gone,
He said in our talks if I listen I could hear the
Whispers to let them talk.
Days passed and I listened to each breath spoken
Few words made sense.
Spoken,
Birth,
Key
To open what I need to concentrate. I listen
To the words spoken to me of a heart young
But mind as sharp as others older in
Wisdom than me.
I listen, empty minded moments letting the
Words speak upon me.
Then like a mist it lifts upon thoughts and
I eventually hear words in clarity.

"Hear these words spoken,
"Release from coiled birth,
"The key has now turned,

With those words spoken in lucidity, I hear
Everything as these words now have meaning they
Sing,
Whistle,
Serenade
To me as my heart releases all fears,
And I realise that this is my chime.
I am at peace as the words whisper nothings
But I understand all the words spoken to me.
This is my end my song of ended moments time
Has caught up and now sings my lullaby to my mind.

the waves that carry you
swelling like a bruise
with every drawn breath
bringing you to your death
waves of turmoil, anguish
with sole will to punish.
trapped; sinking into an abyss
darkness, like a soft kiss.
watching the world cave in
as you think about what could've been
how do you let go of the things
that are ever so haunting?
cast them away upon the waves,
the very ones forming your grave.

There's a little boy
crying out into the night,
His mother's arms
hold him tight,
He puts his head
on her shoulder,
Nightmare dreams,
They disappear,
With a shudder he begins to feel,
a little sanctuary
so near.

There's a homeless man
sleeping outside tonight
behind the mall,
His beard is long,
His hair is *****,
He changed his clothes
in a thrift store
late last week,
the voices scream his name,
All he's looking for is
a little sanctuary.

There's a politician on
the stand
had *** with another man,
Tried methamphetamine
religion too,
Even hypocrites
are looking for
a little bit of sanctuary.

There's a woman on the road
tonight,
Two kids sleeping tight,
Johnny Walker's asleep
in front of the tv,
There's an internet
between her and her lover,
She turns up the music,
Patsy Cline's singing
Stand By Your Man,
All she's looking for, though, is a
little sanctuary.

The money's gone
the house is going,
The ***** is flowing,
The tears are rolling,
He steps outside
on the deck,
looks up at the stars,
Smokes a cigarette,
Looking for a little sanctuary.

Lover's up in a cabin loft,
twist and shout,
Grasping at straws,
Grasping each other,
Holding on tight,
For a moment of bliss,
Come on in,
Give'em a little sanctuary.

Insomniac mind,
Racing thoughts,
Won't shut off,
The days are long,
The nights are longer,
Every fear and dread,
Keeps raising their ugly head,
Quiet her thoughts,
She would if she could,
But all she can do is wait,
For a little sanctuary.

Soul survivor knocking on
the gate,
Waiting for the light,
Waiting for a world just right -
Putting away all sin and vice,
Hoping for a little sanctuary.

Garden Buddha sits on the path,
hands unfolded,
Quarter smile on his lips,
Serenity's smile,
Mastered the art of waiting
and just being,
A little sanctuary.

These poems I write tonight,
Words all tumbling
through my hand,
I don't know what I write them for,
I don't know where they go,
Where they land,
Only trying to see through
sanctuary's door,
maybe there's a little more,
A little bit left for me and you.

It can be so hard to find,
Maybe it's just a state of mind,
Sometimes so close
Sometimes so far,
We long for the day
to have the night,
We long for the night
to have the day,
But either way,
We're all just looking for
a little sanctuary.

Little voices of word, in charm they whispered of what they wished.

"What is it you wish my children on this darkened night,

But no voices spoke, good taught vices, strangers to never have spoke.

"Children never worry, I only ask out of alone you are on this night,

Then a voice speaks out, as I have walk further in to twilights grasp,

"Kind lady my children hunger, do you so generously offer to feed?

"Children who spoke those words unseen?

"Father told us to take this form, to earn our supper this night,

Form? as shivers perforated her mind, hands grasping at wrists tight.

**"Your our feed, and your soul tastes just this side of ripe.....
When you are all alone
And no one is out there
So alone in the darkness
I will be your light in nowhere

When life is bringing you down
And no one seems to ever care
Over head are only black clouds
I will be your light in nowhere

When shadows are closing in
And you have your burden to bear
When your day only seems to be night
I will be your light in nowhere

I need to hunt
To make me  whole again,
I peel there skin like parchment
To write my pain on
Then sow to my parts rotted away.

I was once of the light,
Now I am decay.

I touch those I deem unworthy
Of life,
Of freedom,
That only deserve decay,
They become my soldiers,
The departed ones.

My rag and bone men
They hunt the night,
To find those of poor souls
They will be the givers
That keep my decay at bay.

Beware the angel of Decay,
For you may be a rag and bone
Till you collapse in decay.

Beware your life,
Live it in
Sin,
Takers of life,
Worshipers of darkness
Yours will be mine.

For you may be choose as
The flesh sewed on
Parchment of torment
Keeping my decay
For eternity at bay.
This man will protect you
When you need him most
Make you feel safer
And always be there

Sometimes he will cry with you
Shed tears with your pain
Hold you when you need comfort
And give you feelings of security

But this man has many sides
A burning passion in his heart
He has a hunger to be fed
He is a victim of his lust

Sometimes he says the wrong things
Misunderstands some of the signs
When a woman only needs to be held
Forgive him if he is blind to desire

For a woman is a creature of beauty
That all men are driven to want
We can not stop wanting to love you
We can not stop this need for you

A woman is a delicate flower to care for
And we need to help it bloom, to cherish
Not only to be lost in the sweet scent
But to always to allow it to grow

This man knows sometimes he is wrong
All he wants is to be needed, to be desired
To feel wanted, to know he is loved
The grace of any woman, makes any man

Wildflower 'neath a
     giant weeping willow,
         comforted by the shade
  her fragrance wafting darkly
      whispered into the wind ~
she'd been 'betrayed by the sun',
frail tendrils blistered
     of indiscretion below
            burning discrimination,
   fallen neath the cracks
        suffocating a delicate essence,
she could no longer bear the
   deep-rooted superficiality
         of seeds buried within *****
                    little implanted secrets

She could never stare, would
Never face that which showed
Despair, it looked back through
All the scars seen but never there.

Beauty was distorted In this
representation of self, Its features
Falsified, an empty reflection
Void of seeing what was truly
There.

She brushed her hair, with eyes
Turned away, not seeing that
Which was denied, which was
her beauty. She only a violation
Of ego of self Loathing in a
Reflection that she never looked
Upon, It was dead to her never
Will she look upon It neither stare.
A reflection can breed hate in ones self..

She was one of the little ones, but grew
Over ancient times, her wings were
A beauty to behold with a
Raven,
Onyx,
Shimmer
With hints of crimson red that delicately bled
Patterns of shadows death.
Her veins glistened in luminosity,
Ever corrupted was this purity of light.
For she would upon a nail graze upon her finger
Her vein bled. And into the wind would
White butterflies search out innocence
Landing upon purities skin.
Blackened,
Flesh,
Tainted
With the kiss of a butterflies touch, and
The blossom of her wings flew upon the breeze.
All that were graced with translucent butterflies.
Fell in to the blooms sickness,  hallucinogenic
Madness of butterflies maroon wings bled.
Flourishing in the mind, bleeding eyes
Caressed by her wings of death.
Always her anger towards those who
Forgot,
Disbelief,
Neglect
The thought of a winged expectation. With but
A thought another's wings did crumble into dust and
From heavens wonder did do many fall.
The wings bled more angelic death,
For those unbelievers were to breathe last breath.
She had cradled her sister as wings fell to ash,
Each was but a laughter now soaked in tears.
Fear her, for those who she hears disbelieve. For with another wing
Clipped another hundred of those know of man have fallen still .

And the little cushion was soft and plush
It was now sleepy time.
Time for bodies to be silent still

"Cover up,

"Feathers heavy,

Say the rhyme of silent night.

"Sleep in stillness,
"Eyes closed tight,
"Let a breath not escape,
"From the feathers this night,
"Head is rested,
"Body is now hushful,

Now the deed is done and silence granted
To yet another deserving one.

"Cover up,

"Feather light,

The Cushion called a silent night

"Death is but stillness,
"Eyes wide open curtains closed in soulless time,
"Breath now kept in tight,
"Feathers flew less this night,
"Frozen features extinguished light,
"Bodies cold free of life,

Little cushions silent night,
For life rested on your purest white,
Now all is silent even breath
Whispers no more this night.

I swung on the hangman's noose
Feeling the too and fro of others
Moments of death, were my fingers
Gracing a moment of chocking silence.

My digits were decorating a moment
As if my grip was still around the spirt
Of a clutching oblivion that gasped
On tightened desperation.

I swung for a while till my fingers lost
Feeling like that of breath losing life,
Silent was my motion and then I was still.
I left it swinging a circle of life gracing death.
