tells me that I’m alive
Sunset reminds me
that I lived

I want the pain, not the scars

ok okay
Red moon
The sky bleeds too
Maybe this is hell
I guess that's up to you

These trees could only stand still
And as the fire grows
So we will too
And watch as the world turns red
While we all feel blue
I live in New Zealand, yesterday the sky lit up red and the moon was bright red. The extent of the fire is unimaginable. It is sad. The world is sick because of us.

So much to say,
So few people to truly listen.

I stare at the mirror
not because I'm vain
and not because I'm pretty
I stare at the mirror
because the person looking back
is not me
It's a black, shadowy wisp
that runs away
when I try to touch it
I'm referring to myself as a shadowy wisp because nobody really notices me anywhere and I shy away when someone does notice.

And I recognized the chorus
I was reading a book in a place no normal person would be. When I was accomponied by a lovely gal who had the same plans as me. We never spoke a word to eachother but I've never felt so understood.

You're the wave
that keeps pulling me back
to the memories that we had.

Sometimes I wish I was born as a boy
my late-night strolls wouldn't be seen as coy.
Sometimes I wish I was born as a boy
at least I wouldn't be reduced to a mere toy.

Sometimes I wish wasn't born as a female
my life story would have been a tellable tale.
Sometimes I wish I wasn't born as a female
my journey wouldn't have been filled with storms and hail.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't born at all
coz there nothing I hate more than being a life-size doll.

when i was young,
i thought my tears
would nourish roses.
now that i'm older
i know they will
drown sorrows.

There’s nothing worse
Than being on this planet
With seven billion other people
And feeling utterly alone
