Eudora
Like a tornado, it spins in your body,
evoking restless emotions.
It seizes your mind,
wrecking your thoughts.
It sends fearful tears to your eyes,
ready to hurl your heart out.
It engulfs your days and nights,
leaving you distraught.
It promises you a dreadful tomorrow,
to conquer your being...

**all over again.

the unwritten note
I kept chasing
you, as if
you were
a distant dream.
But dreams
are not always
dreams.
Sometimes, we have
nightmares too.
When did those dreams turned into nightmares? When did I stop believing in the magic of dreams?

it's been two months,
yet not a day has gone by without me thinking of you.

you were an angel that had gotten lost and fell on earth.

the angel that none of us deserved,
but needed.

through your beautiful lyrics,
you touched our hearts
and brought fixed our shattered hearts.

you were always so happy,
but you were unhappy

no one noticed your pain,
your screams for help,
your screams for someone to just tell you
that you did an amazing job.

and two months ago,
you found your way back home.
and you brought us the pearl aqua green moon.
i hope you're happy, my dearest rolemodel.
you did well. you did amazing.

The wind today is a lonely one
It calls for spring like a long lost love
yet clings to winter’s solitude.

I gambled away the sun.

Because the moon
had offered more.

I staked my heart and life.

Because of stories told
and fantastical lore.

As I lie here
With eyes closed softly
I think deeply of you
And I inhale stars
The scent of twinkling light
So fresh and alive
Sparkling gentle inside me
And I want to write this feeling
So tentatively
As it must be
Like writing words on bubbles
Delicate and precious
Begging them not to disappear
Like dreams in the morning

This may well be my last poem here.

I was looking for the suitcase
one of those work trips
Staying at a sterile Ramada
TV blaring through fiber walls

Down the hall a door slams on sleep
My heart leaps like a squirrel
onto a New Jersey highway at rush hour

So much for –  “Have a pleasant stay.”

I lay thinking about road-****
alive-- then incongruous –  dead

Awake, listening to trucks
log their roar of rush
Then, whine to the distance – away

Awake, till I can smell
perfume of the maid's cart
masking evidence of people

Awake, hearing
twitter of Spanish
Smallish women in turquoise uniforms
long dark ponytails
cleaning rooms
like stalls in a cattle barn
Their faces make me long for home
somewhere –
I am always longing
and never seem to be....

Anyway, I was looking for that suitcase
Found her dolls lying on it
and wondered when they got there
A day when I was working, no doubt

She must've looked at them
decided they were lost
in silly-sleep
beneath the basketball poster
beside the boom box
Sleeping with her childhood
in the cellar where....
_

Spring comes like a longing –
for a moment
for a home

They were darling there –
yellow romper, plaid sun-suit –

Same clothes as the day –

They, last saw her play....

Valsa George
Your innocent eyes lightly closed
Your tender limbs partly stilled
In swaddling linen’s comfort wrapped
You sleep within your mother’s girdling arms.

Away from all care you drowse
Away from the snares and sorrows of the world
With Heaven smiling from the heights
And swarm of angels keeping guard round

Fresh as the freshest vernal green
Lovely as the loveliest summer bloom
Soft as the softest silky fleece
You rest, a priceless gift wrapped in grace

Blissful is your sleep
Envious is your state
But weep not, when you wake
Bursting this cocoon to the chill and heat

For on your sides, colorful wings will sprout
With iridescent shades, curves and spots
To carry you over frost and snow
And to feast on the dew served in floral cups!
Dear friends, taking a short break from HP. Thank you for all your support ! I shall read your poems when I come back !

Love is abstract, so it attracts.
One feeling, universal  to all living beings

Plants, loved and nurtured, swing and sway to the music played
Holding roots, withstanding storms
Going lush green when truly loved
Bearing nuts and berries or flowers in bloom
What a sight to behold

Animals, you feed them, pets or non pets
They follow you everywhere
Wanting to be loved and giving back even more
Love that is

Humans, blessed of all the beings,
We can express  ourselves through thoughts and words
Love we receive from and reciprocate to
Parents siblings spouse children friends and all fellow beings

It's true that some barren fields do not yield
Should it stop one from looking beyond
There are greener pastures waiting to be found
God's ways and love is profound

If I could, I would be a floating pontoon to the many lost souls
Bridging their path and holding them together
Till eternity
Coz love in abundance I have found
Have shared this earlier.
