It
When you find it
Hold on tight to it
With all of your might
Don't fight it
Or get uptight
Bask in the light
The bright lights
Take comfort in it
Wrap your self up in it
Dance barefoot with it
Throw your arms around it
Share it
So that others may believe in it
There's hope for the future in it
Memories are made of it
Smile and laugh with it
Don't ask....what is it?
You already know it
It's written in your heart
Isn't it?

I need a vacuum under my desk
I've made a mess
Pulling mascara from my lashes
Letting it slip through my fingers
Tea leaves that evaded their
Somewhat dangerous fate
Being boiled and then drank
Pieces of plastic from the rim of
A bottle of 5-Hour Energy
Extra strength
Filters from cigarettes that I've cut
Because they didn't give a strong enough puff
Post-Its crumpled on their way to the basket
They sadly didn't make it
There's no reason to mourn though
They're inanimate
Paper-clips that I completely ruined
That day I had a strong magnet
I wanted to see how many I could
Unravel and line-up
Like magic

Cherokee woman , distant smile,
Cherokee woman it's been awhile,
let the warm winds carry your voice to me,
hear the  rustle of your hand made beads,
smell the hint of jasmine in your hair,
soft soled foot steps, I can feel you there.
Cherokee woman, distant smile,
Cherokee woman it's been awhile.
Catfish sunning in the morning light,
splash of ducklings, signs of new life.
Feel the need to close the miles,
move a little closer to that Cherokee smile.
Snow is melting  and the rivers run,
days are longer with warming sun.
Cherokee woman, shake your beads for me,
let the wind carry your scent of jasmine.
Distant smile come closer then a dream.
Cherokee woman no longer needs to wait for me.

~

A dark cloud,
not angry, just an
early morning formation,
a soft pink hue
on its fluffy underbelly,
is just now waking up
as it floats by

I gaze past
the light gray atmosphere
of this new dawn
to a place where the sun
is already shining,
where skies are blue
and crystal clear

And as my sun
happily rises, I imagine
your smile now glowing
on this buttermilk horizon,
illuminating every dark cloud
to once again make this
*a beautiful day
Good morning Beautiful

In times of adversity
We will not be constrained
This river runs free.

We might flow down to the sea
or end up being drained.
In times of adversity

There is no need for lock and key
We will not live in chains
This river runs free.

We will not dwell on misery
will not be overcome by pain
In times of adversity

As we flow tirelessly
on a relentless campaign
This river runs free

We will not live in slavery
We will not be restrained
In times of adversity
This river runs free

sandpaper eyes
the stars all cry
in harmony
i'm sleepy
and if i don't find a bed soon
i'll curl up neatly under the moon
and allow her to sing me
to sleep and dream of you

T'was a diamond
    amidst stardust
  struck of gypsy's
    celestial adoration,
  crashed and sizzled
 'neath earthly intentions,
ultimate shimmers
     escalated upon
       fiercely impetuous seas,
each dappling
    luminescent wave
saturated of
splendiferous galaxies,
   bathed in heavens'
      stellar effulgence,
mesmerizing wanderlust's
    magnificent indulgences

May God protect mi amour'
In the trials and tribulations she's facing,
May God leadeth her beside still waters
Wherein the other Angel's canst showeth her,
Her placing...

As tis I wilt guideth her,
For she is not alone...
I was her guidance many life-ages ago
And still wilt be on her side to helpeth her grow...

You're left me out here in the cold
☆ But I decided to put my hopes on the stars ☆
There’s so many
So many that are bright
★ I think the dark ones are my favorite ★
*Your soul is a crystal sky

✧ *Lit from the North

Dancing to a shifting melody
☪ Only broken out at midnight ☪
Changing your colors
To fit your light between my dark stars

⊝ Undetected by most ⊝
␥ But those special few watch from the water ␥
⎊ They’re alone like me ⎊
Soon your shows slows
↡ And you fall asleep with the dawn ↡
⚰ Frozen tongues can’t taste your remains ⚰
∈ Nor can they converse with themselves ∋
My heart was left out in the cold
And it learned to love Alaska

I'm not afraid of commitments

I was left out to freeze, and I learned to survive the harsh wilderness.

Harsh
Remember, dear;
There will always be who I am tonight.

Provided that my demons keep their peace within the cage of my ribs,
and our pools of patience endure their droughts and despair,
I’ll hold you when our bones are brittle and our hair is silver.

And when those days come, and for the thousands of days in between, there will always exist a man inside me who was (at least once) everything and anything you’d wanted him to be.

You will always be the lovely lady of my life, and no matter how fate decides to shape our time together, I will always be ready to hold you in my arms, however weak they may be. I will always listen to whatever may harrow your soul, however hard of hearing I might be at that point. And even when I am blinded by cataracts and carcinogens, I'll always appreciate how you smile with your eyes and how your nose crinkles a little when you laugh, I'll always be able to tell you how lovely you look.

We may be torn apart or we may grow together but regardless of our proximity, I will always be who you once fell in love with, I will always be everything you once needed. And as I have been for you, I will be once again.

You made my heart of a shattered vase
Fragile pieces scattered all over the place.
Just waiting for karma to take it's toll
But the uneven pieces  pierce my soul.
I tried helplessly to mend my broken heart
But I have no idea where to start?
Can someone tell me what to do?
and bring to me the toughest glue...

The touch of the sunlight,
the warmth of the water
dancing around our ankles,
smell the salt in the air,
fresh and clean and pure.
Little tastes of happiness.
But it's never enough for you.

You think that happiness is a state,
like liquid or gas, something you stay in.
But happiness is in the fleeting moments,
the laughter of friends,
hot chocolate, sweet and smooth
with little marshmallows.

Dancing in the rain,
wearing your favorite shirt,
a walk through the woods,
a hug just a little longer than usual,
the warmth of someone else's arms.
These fleeing moments are
where you find happiness.
