The sun has risen,
can you hear?
the songs of the morning birds.

Life begins to wake,
the gentle breeze,
blows softly against the trees.
A lovely view awaits.

The orange sky,
the feeling of life!
a beautiful sunrise it is.

Do you ever feel
Like you're a bug?

I mean
Think about it
They get punished
For just existing
And in the world we live in
We are born in to this madness
With the only escape
Being death

Bugs come in all different shapes and sizes
Still bugs nonetheless
But when we see an ant just minding it's business
We step on it
And when we see a butterfly
we take a picture

Bugs get squashed
By people

People get squashed
By people

Do you see what I mean?
Maybe not the most poetic thing, but a thought I had.

(This note was written by a light that could not turn on, but you thought you could turn it on when you wanted to. Is that enough?)

Wake up
Shower
Pretend it's ok
Work through this
The day
Wake up
It's ok
To cry
And remember the
Days
The days that made you smile and remember that it's not already like today. It's just another day

Everything is temporary
Starting with a moment
A memory lasts a lfetime
A lifetime is stunted
A childhood
A garden
Laughter soon forgotten
Tears are for a little while
& gone in the morning
A friendly smile
A secret whisper
Your lovers warm embrace
The darkness of night
The sweet smell of rain
Don't blink for you might miss
The temporary enjoyment
Of the sunshine on your face
Or the rivers current
A stroll among the fields
A bite of something juicy
The only love you'll ever know
So hold on loosely
All is so temporary
Treat your life with care
Stop and smell the flowers
Let them know you're there

I've been trying to turn my reality into a movie.
nothing is as pretty as the wind on a cloudy evening.
I want to feel like that all the time.
Pretty and free.
Sometimes I get jealous of my fish.
No worries in the world but when will I get fed again.
Just swimming in circles happily.
Or so it seems.
I'm not really jealous of my fish but I do wish I could just swim around and not worry about anything.
Sometimes I think that I know so much about the little things in the world that it's impossible to put it into words.
I feel like I have big dreams but in reality, all I really wanna do is watch movies with you. I want to go to a dark little restaurant and order something weird and make fun of it with you.
I wanna drive around and listen to Lana Del Rey all day. I wanna plant flowers in my yard and laugh about pointless things all day. I want to have a dog and I want to give him hair cuts and put little handkerchiefs around his neck. I want to decorate for every holiday. I want nice smells like evergreen and lavender. I want to take sweet showers and fall asleep in clean fancy cotton. I don't know.
People are always telling me to dream big things, but all I really wanna do is dress up real fancy and cook nice things.
I just wanna do it in a better house, in a better town, in a better place.

To know you,
I have forgotten my impetuosity.
Silk reeling off from cocoons,
layer by layer,
as I spend every second unveiling
your happiness,
your stumbles,
things you despise,
things you love,
and things you live for.
I've gone from being infatuated
with your smile
to falling in love
with every facet of you.

Even the most ethereal semantics can not conjure
the lovely wishes we share:
maple-tinted sunsets,
heart-shaped pancakes,
kisses on the neck,
sporadic dances on the kitchen floor...

You strum the strings of a guitar
carelessly,
improvising a lovely tune
we heard
as we passed by the record store.
An enthralling picture,
how I long
to lay my eyes on you
for a lifetime.

One day,
I will show up in your city
wearing my prettiest dress
with all my butterflies
and dewy flowers
and fallen leaves,
searching
a destination for all my wanderings.

I hope the breeze
caresses your eyelids like velvet
when you gaze into my eyes.
Irregular heartbeats,
interlaced whims,
entwined arms...

You smile.

Suddenly,
the world fades.
Suddenly,
stars align.
I can't believe I just wrote a poem about a boy! This poem is for a special person I met three months ago but I already feel like knowing him for years. When he reads this, he will know instantly that it addresses to him. I'm so silly. I hope you laugh. I can't stop thinking about you ever since. :D

You see only what you look for.
You hear only what you listen to.
You believe only in what suits you.
You fill your time only with what you choose.
You change these things, you change everything.
It's amazing how things so little,
so seemingly insignificant,
could have such an impact.
A butterfly flapping its wings at the precise moment and causing a hurricane on the other side of the world.
A word inspiring a series of words that touch millions of hearts.
A photograph that brings thousands to tears.
One falling domino that creates a chain of chaos.
"A little bit goes a long way"
Change hurts. But work always does.

It's wonderful to see
The mountains, strong and tall
An eagle taking flight
Or the colors in the fall

But why do we not notice
The beauty in the little things?
Things that we see every day
That are simple, yet amazing

A flat field of grass...
Makes my heart run free
Even a single breath of wind
Stirs the life within me

So when you dream of jungles
But wake to find just one tree
Look closer and you'll realize
There's beauty in simplicity
Sometimes in life we need perspective. We need to see the bigger picture. But there are also times when we need to look CLOSER to see what we missed before. For the perfect example: a snowflake. You see a snowflake fall from the sky and it looks like a blob. But when you take the time to examine the snowflake, you see the incredibly ornate pattern that it creates. Look closer. See something beautiful in something you thought was a blob.

A rainy day
A dead rose
That picture on the wall
My little sisters test
Hanging on the fridge
The project I used to stall
My Polaroid camera
A broken mug
My mom's excuse of fun
A walk outside
A kitty in my lap
The trophies I forgot I won
A forgotten poem
A silent scream
A whisper of the untold true
Little things
Little dreams
All ending with you
You were my untold story
You know that
There are always
Stars
Even when the clouds
Are most dense
But they will always
Go away eventually
Sometimes you have to
Stop
And remember things
Like these
