When the Beauty I See
In the Land and the Sea
Even the Flowers to be
But not like She

When the Love I See
Within the Flower and Bee
Even in my Heart to be
But not like She

I heard a desert bird
sing a new song this morning

yes... before the sunrise

i recognized it as the
song of a cactus thrasher
but it had added a
new note to it's call

i've never, in my 40+ years
in the desert, heard it's like!

it must've found love

i know

because i myself
found a new note

the first time i said your name.

This is the TRUTH. I heard a bird
CHANGE IT'S TUNE!
THAT NEVER HAPPENS!!!

I felt it was a perfect metaphor
for how I've changed
since I found LOVE.

drinking tea and writing poetry
some to share
some only for my eyes to see
is not a passing breeze of freedom
rummaging through mind's corridors
to keep in check life reality,
is like pure blessing
if you ask me.

Doing rhyme
     is doing time

You commit the crime
they hang you out on the line

When all the crystaled dreams
     come crashing to the floor

When it's your turn to walk
     but there's no door

You tried and gave your all
And the promises have just stalled

. . . I thought I'd call . . .
and was put on hold . . .

Feeling my age , getting old
     realizing my mortality
This was written in November 6 , 1993 .
Three days after my 43rd birthday . Woo-hoo !

Sirenes
There she was again
The girl in the sandbox
Her brown hair cut short
Wearing pink shorts
And no shirt
I'm not entirely sure she's a girl

"Do you want to play with me
We can go and get my toys
And build sandcastles, play hide and seek"
She frowned at me and I wondered
Does she know how to talk
She muttered and walked away
#
"My mum sent me
She said that we should walk together"
It's early morning, -25*C
"Ok" said the girl from the sandbox
We were 8 years old
I can count the words she has spoken with one hand

It's nearly dinnertime
Where is the girl
You know the one from the sandbox
Crazy thing, she told me
Not to vacuum clean snow off the floor
And she gave me a puppy pendant
#
Now I don't live here anymore
And I don't have her number
They call us "Foreign Finns"
But sure thing if I go
To her parents house
I'll find her

Knock knock says the door
Her mum opens up and hugs me
Takes her phone and says
"Guess who's here"
And without hesitation
She says "Lily. I'm coming"

The girl from the sandbox
Friendships that last a lifetime <3

All had been removed
one by one
Take all!
But do not take away this little light
Open the window
Let the wind come

I will not protest any day
will not say against you
Even when I got empty I do not want to
Those yellow crops,
Fertile barren fields
all yours

Do not want to
Never ask you for anything expensive

But in return
I want to see those yellow marigolds,
The silver moonlit of the lonely moon
And a newly bloomed red rose,
The aroma of gardenia in the air
For my awaiting beloved,
So Let the wind come

I'll give you more!
The Hidden gold pitcher of my grandma,
The Saved Silver coin of my ancestor,
Gold, precious locket,
Antics-
The Diamond Crown
– All -

But want to return
My beloved's smile which has taken from
The golden shining day where I had left her
The very Sweet Southern wind where my Spring plays
My lost grasshopper

Lost love Song
My mother's simple smile,
The paper boats of my springtime,
My grandma's fairytale
And a piece of open sky where I take a little breath

Where my kites of dreams fly
Dances with Seven colors of love

It was a misty moonlight, his caress, I closed my eyes
he  whispered to my spirit, he kissed my silky touch
from Ashe cinders comes our favorite song,
'Love me Tender, love me true'
your mouth needs my ear, holds my very soul
love was flowing on  that misty hot night
his hushed caress kissing my velvet high,
as I  breathed the aroma of him
I shivered with his sweet lovers secret
that I knew so well.....it rushed to my staggering heart
serenading my mind, he fully altered me
excited panic rushed to my feet, telling him to chase me
catch me  if he can...
after the little game of hide and seek
our bodies moving like lightning, as he forced me
held facing the wall, was my mighty man
He is my golden dream that I came to know so well
the rainbow that shown over our very heads
our feelings blowing in the wind
a gentle wind blew on our hot faces,
yes we were two lovers on a mighty trail.....
These are real feelings of falling in love under the moonlight so fare and what music was playing do you still relate that song to that night?

Sunshine and blue skies
so cool is the breeze
Hummingbirds, butterflies,
green apple trees
Daffodils,  daisies
and irises too
Send all my love
*on this morning to you
Good morning beautiful

Not cupcakes or brownies
or butterscotch drops
Peppermint patties,
nor big lollipops

Caramel ice cream
with sprinkles so nice
Apricot pudding
or pie by the slice

Banana split servings
cinnamon buns
Pink cotton candy
just now freshly spun

Sherbet or popsicles
purple and green
Milkshakes or sodas,
red jelly beans

Oranges, peaches
bananas or plums
Coffee cake, cookies,
their left over crumbs

Chocolate, vanilla
or strawberry too
None are as sweet
as the love found in you

dizzied waves calm the haze
count the ways of perfect blue
hurried trees catch salty breeze
besting winded walkers by
sand surrenders to barefoot folly
warming and forming prints
a scattered sky drips a drop or two
nothing stays like perfect blue

see the sea shake
feel the heat ache
smell the sun bake
taste the cloud shapes

horizons breathe
shorelines walk
water talks

cream-filled crests crown the abyss
distant ships tilt and lilt
slippery wakes surfers skate
children trench
tanners twist
lovers tryst

caught by chance in ocean's glance
impelled to do this human dance
nature's floor a ballroom
its rhythm a rapacious hue
life cascades in perfect blue

.

An echo floats on clouded skies
of charcoal misted silver streams
Above an arbor full abloom
in Jasmine breaths and rose hip dreams

Below the green of nature’s born
a bed of petaled slippers lie
On stones to paint a garden path
in whispered fragrance for the eye

Butterflies now dance the breeze
fluttered steps through marigold
Lilac filtered harmonies
bound of every story told

With lavender and lily smiles
along a fence of woven vine
Come walk with me where flowers play
*within this garden to be mine

Let love's sunset into my heart
With sullen greys tinged in pink
With last rays of warmth
Before there comes the chill

Let the last breath of fulfillness
Ease around my heart
Take away the sunny memories
Softly as the light fades away

Fading fast empty embraces
And kisses that have no taste
As softly whispered I love yous
Fall into the Atlantic sea

Come nightness surround now
My empty heart
Console my ache and care
So come now , sunset of my heart
