AK Bright
She looks in the mirror
At the age on her face
"I wonder what he thinks
of me this way?"

She considers her weight
and the pores on her skin
She thinks out loud
"I don't deserve him."

She picks apart
the woman he loves
Separating her worth
from all that she does

He looks in her eyes
and caresses her face
He sees it glowing with love
and full of grace

 The lines on her face
  he views with pride
  Recounting the victories
  each time they've been tried

The weight that she carries
 is that of a mom
 Nothing's too heavy
 She just marches on

These bodies will perish
 and mirrors offer no truth
True love abides
 beyond the corridors of youth

  No, she doesn't deserve me
  Perhaps God can see
  Conceivably, one day
I'll be as worthy as she
to the mother of my children. Happy Mother's Day!
A boy saying I love you
   usually means
I want to sleep with you
and though we girls may forget our selves at times
seem careless or revealing,
    its because we do it
for those magical words to cross our hearts
even when we know they are not true
we like to think one day they could be so

The bones in your body will lay to rest
After your blood runs cold,
Trapped beneath your skin,
Leaving you frozen within yourself.
The stories and memories that once were of you,
Forgotten in the pages as they burn in a white fire
From the deepest, depths of hell.
Your name will be but a shadow of time,
Time lost in eternity to never return.
Until your soul rises,
You shall be never more than a body lost in earth,
Where the flames grow stronger
And your spirit becomes weaker,
Longing for it's desperate escape.

He looks at me and smiles, dangerous.
His lies hidden but the devil-may-care.
I put on a brave face, seems courageous.
But everyday lived is full of despair
And now my bones become weak and fragile
Left to rot. I fight my own battle.
It's empty inside, hiding in the dark
Unable to control my thoughts, I'm insane.
I see him and my body struggles to
Respond. I forget how to process words
His love was the sweetest sin, nothing new.
My heart feels as if it's picked at by birds.
Tortured memories haunt my cold shadow.
Hurtful words never run out of ammo
He was my trigger. It's a ****** mess.
They're gonna take me to Mental Health Service.

You change, I'll change.
You say you love me, I say I love you.
You smile, I'll smile.
You break my heart, I'll never forget.
you leave me, I'll wait till you come back.
You're my addiction, I'll be obsessed.
Stay with me forever, or I may never rest.
