A silent sort of sadness
Quiet, deadly depression
Weighs me down, anchors me deeper
Dragging me into the dark syrupy ocean
That I created within myself from emotion
And it's surrounding me, drowning me,
Filling my lungs and coating my insides
Too much of it touching my skin to feel it within so I'm
Drowning numb, giving in to sleep
Adding to the secret scar collection I keep
Waiting for the tide to pull me to shore
Or waiting until I can't breathe anymore

the slow, so slow thoughts of poems
written in the sublime depth of mind
which has no fathom manmade in
anytime man chooses to chime and
Oh does the poet try to excise the
whole **** demons who follow so
so close into those depths of time
thoughts of poetry die on the lips
way before their birth, aborted..

She sang for the birds,
dancing like flaxen wind,
sunshine-bright and gently
waning.

she twirled like golden leaves
and laughed like stilled ripples of water--
the hairpin curve of her mouth
tilted up in the parody of a smile.

And in the depths of night,
you fell softly in love
with the sound of her silence,
echoing like the wilting feathers
of a songbird
who can sing no more.
Abused
Used
But
I fell for it
It was great
But now I hate
The thing we call "love"
Every man that comes along think they are in a place above
But they push and shove
Then we are back to abused
Used

"I am lost." She said,
"You can't be, you were like the guiding star." He argued.
"I was, but then you came along
Your questions, like a moon, raised tides in the calm seas of my soul,
but your presence
calmed those thrashing waves,
and in the stillness of the moment,
i got lost at the shore of your heart !!" She sighed.

I showered in the storm
I drank the nectar of a dream
Feathers grew between my shoulder blades
I took flight with the angels
Let the sun burn its embrace upon my skin
I once believed heaven stood above the clouds
That if I flew high enough the gates
would be somewhere amongst the birds
Now I wait for the clouds to come
Their figures hanging heavy
Something to give the earth a drink
I’ll collect the left overs in water glasses
And pour them out for all my dead friends
So they too can be content in paradise
We all lose ourselves,
Somewhere at a certain point in life,
Life at that point seems very different,
It's complicated and difficult,
But what you must know is,
A storm passes and so does will these days,
So don't stop moving and believe that you deserve better,
If you do with all your heart,
Know that the storm has already started to fade

There are different kinds of love
In life, love can bring peace as doves,
Maybe guidance from above,
There is love parental or familial,
While fur friend love is eternal,
Then there's love between adult humans,
As with each other they hold hands,
Lucky love lasts a life span,
Having friends because we're human,
We can be apart but still together,
See each other through stormy weather,
Yes, I woke up with love on my mind,
Maybe all forms of love are divine!
Feedback welcome.

If it, were not
for such an exquisite smile,
blessed with such lovely lips,
graced with such amazing taste -
                                 my heart would be mine.
For I am left,
enchanted by your flavor
wishing only for more,
for that, I am awaiting.
