There lives in the everyday
On a Wednesday late morning sidewalk
Of grimy city and in the small town
In the overcast of pregnant skies

Just plain folks
Blind enough of their own ego
To wear an immunity of self like a concrete saint

You see them in timeless pause
And watch in awe and ache
As blue and grey birds
With eyes as cloudy as your skies
Rest peacefully on their fingertips
Nurturing fat bellies with morsels of a sacred stillness

Worrying too much
This is out of my control
Guess I’ll make coffee

Coffee...
You're...well...anyways
I just wanted to say hi
and ask you, if you
would, maybe, consider...Uhm
would you have coffee with me?
sometime..?

I met a bold painter
With no brush to his name
He held up his stylus
And happily explained
It's all about screen time
It's what you install
It's the choice of the subject
And this one is bald.

Prompted by an on screen watercolour app and a surprise portrait from a new acquaintance at New Day 2019.

Phasma de Oceanus
I tremble between sheets
And a devoted lover.
Our minds, a canvas,
Crashing into color.
His kiss lingers;
Touch, patient and tender,
Seeking to paint
The cold night.

Sitting at a window
seat on a train

looking outside
feeling kind of nostalgic

watching my life
pass by together
with the landscape.
