The Echoes
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
I lay motionless in my bed
and it’s been days,
I hear echoes in my head saying,
“We should go our separate ways”

A Rose
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
A rose that blooms
Has the right amount of water and sun
A rose that blooms
Will be given to no other but one
A rose that blooms
Has a purpose indeed
For a rose that blooms purpose
Will never mislead

Shit Happens
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
I guess you thought I'd be wrapping my
arms around someone new by now
But unlike you, I can sit
comfortably in my sorrows
I don't need conversation
I have them with myself all the time
I don't need a strangers lips
I like having them pressed against my familiar wine
I don't need those midnight phone calls
Where I sleep to the sound of your voice
I sleep when I want to now
And even where I sleep is my choice
I don't need your morning texts
Your "Have a great day's"
I needed you to keep your word
But hey, **** happens nowadays

Plates of Hate
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
The teapot awoke to find herself
Shattered on the floor
Looking up to see the enemy of plates
Pointing her towards the door
With an angry spout
she bulldozed the table
And down came the plates trying to catch
Themselves but weren't able
And all brushed up against the broom
Remaining pieces of themselves
scattered across the room
Tossed in the darkness of doom
To find themselves in the outcome of hate
And in turn regret their decisions
When it's far too late.

Unite
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
Do you daydream in color
Cause I do
Do you find that your daydreams are better off
without a color or two
Would your visions and dreams look better without black or white
Do you find it easier to separate one another without a fight
Do you judge based on race
Do you see beauty in just the face
As we walk in our outer shells
protecting our loving hearts
We should admire the outer skin
The skin that sculpts us into our parts
When the world feels darkness
in all this light
When history repeats itself out of spite
Then we must come together
We must all unite

Like It Ever Was
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
Will it ever be "US" anymore
Like it ever was before
Will I ever fall back in love with "ME"
Before I fell in love with "WE"
Will this silence between us
measure the days of our longing
or measure the days of our departing
When this path I walk alone
ever chooses to bring me home
I just want you to know
That I'll be happy knowing
that your someone somewhere
out there growing.

You Were Sin
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
I bit into your apple anyway
Even though I knew my bibliotic facts
I let my temptation bite into you
but I didn't doom the world
I doomed myself.

Salt & Pepper Sands
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
The wind and the rain go insane
And grind up the earths masses
Spitting out the rocks and minerals
that get in their way
After they've teamed up in their insanity
And blended the earth into
Fine grinned salt and pepper sands
I lay a towel over their creation
Sinking my feet in and gazing in awe
At the art of their divine mess
Pouring from my hands

The Furnace
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
She was different from the rest
She was a furnace
Different from the plastic girls
I used to date
She was true to who she was
She melted the fake to the floor
If you could withstand her heat
She would sharpen you like a sword
So blacksmith I became and with her fire
She engulfed me in love into her flame

In The Middle
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
Do not believe the things you tell yourself
when you are healing
We are someone new when we love
and we become someone else when we hurt
but we become lost
somewhere in the middle.

Nothing Left to Go Right
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
Hello contemplation
What side shall I choose today
The Left tells me I'm Right
And the Right tells me there's nothing Left
And neither sides oppose of each other's names
Both sides playing each other's games
As I stand in the two faces of decision
Body split in symmetry folded equally in precision
And all that's Left is choosing what feels
  Right in my perception

The Way You Used To
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
I had someone hold me today
Not the way you used to hold me
And not wrapped in the divine fragrance of your particular scent
But they held me tight enough for my ears to drum in echo
They eased my longing
from your heart that let go
Comforted by the same rhythmical beating
that had once followed
the pulsation of your familiar heartbeat.

For Granted
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
Her soul had escaped from me
She no longer held her color
She shriveled in darkness
****** over as if she waited
for someone to love her
And the water dripped over her corpse
As her dry leaves fell onto the soil
I hated myself right then
My blood began to boil
Everyday I visited where she rested
Feeling sick as the guilt had manifested
But I refused to fill in the gaps of her figure
And one day she awoke
from her zombie state
Turns out her roots soaked
in my tears to hydrate
And I was left astounded
As she blossomed into her second life
As in to tell me "Look at me *******, look at me so grounded"
And at that moment I remembered how breathtaking she was to me
Just like the day I found her.

A Flower
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
A flower does not beg to blossom
A flower does not beg to be seen
A flower does not ask for your help
For it is only in weather
that her destiny is dealt
A flower does not beg for glue
She embraces her falling stems
from just one to a few
And she ages in grace
Enjoying the season in pace
Until she dies from the earths demand
And the bee's honor her
by spreading her pollen
throughout the land

Break Free
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
Set forth the boundaries to your love
I will find the cracks in your walls and hammer my way through them
I will sneak through those jail fences
And tear my skin in determination
to make my way in
With blood lines running down my legs
With scars awaiting in my adventure
I shall break my way into your cell
And sneak you out
of your own imprisonment

Wild & Free
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
Why must you go? she pleaded
You run away like the cheetahs
that have found their prey
You fly away like the hawk
that hunts from tree to tree
You swim away like the orcas
that feast across the ocean free
You always try to get back into the wild life
but you belong here with me.
Silence filled the room and I answered
"I was wild when you found me and yes it's true, I can be tamed.
But when I crave to run free my darling, I expect you to run,
to swim, to fly just as fast as the animal that's still in me".

I camped in her ground.
I bathed in her love.
I slept in her sound.

My Death
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
Through the love triangles and torment
Through the path of enjoyable agony
I ask that my death don’t come easy
I ask that my death come with a sting
For at least I await a place
that knows of my torture

The Fruit Of Love
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
The lie is the outer part of the fruit
covered in thick layer
Protecting that which is hidden inside
The truth patiently waits for it's reveal
By the gesture of one slip
By the unfolding of one peel

Vengeance
Lady ꓘ Aug 2017
I was made to flow with ease around you
I am like the river
I was made so powerfully strong,
I am like the waterfall
I stretch so far and wide
Every part of my body is named in oceans
But you my dear mountain
You try to control my flow
You let the sun dry me up in the summer
Both of you hoping I would never return
But the clouds helped me up for vengeance
And dropped me onto you
Like a coat made of snow
for the winter ahead

Humble Flower
Lady ꓘ Sep 2020
I do not want the flowers I can easily pick from the open garden. Show me the ones that grow happily under the shrubs, hidden from plain sight and demand no attention. For those are the ones that aren’t as needy for the spotlight in the sun or as selfish to drink every drop of rain. Show me the ones that don’t look as thirsty as the rest.

Lady ꓘ Sep 2020
A warm bath, I wash away my day in the ****
A cold rain, I find the weather in sync with my mood
A half moon, unable to bright up the night
A bathroom, burning candles, fills the room with moonlight.

In Truth
Lady ꓘ Sep 2020
Love has never been gentle with me
In truth, love will never be
Love has shown its frail with me
In truth, that I can agree
Love has come and gone
In truth, it strings along
And Love has not yet said,
With this ring, I do thee wed

Just Hold Me
Lady ꓘ Sep 2020
It does not matter what I say
Or even what I think
My body will always betray me
My palms will always get sweaty
My breathe will always get heavy
And you’ll only know of this truth
Not by the questions you ask
Or by the answers you seek
But by the silent step you take forward
to hold me.

Lady ꓘ Sep 2020
Oh glorious Sun,
how you shine on me so bright
You rise up every morning touching smiles with your light.
Frustrated you must be
To shine on me with such glee
Yet my eyes hit the ground
My smile rolls upside down
Oh Sun, stop wasting your good rays
Shining your happiness on my bad days

Soft Edges
Lady ꓘ Sep 2020
In this world,
People will try to hurt you with words.
But know this much,
Words have never once cut me.
And people may try to be blades
But we’re all just a butter knife with soft edges.
