Where Were You?
wordynerd Oct 2015
I was crying in the dark,
Trying not to fall apart,
And where were you?
I needed your arms,
Keep me safe and warm,
But where were you?
You said you'd never go,
But you left me all alone,
And where were you?
Wrists and thighs bleeding,
My heart stopped beating,
But where were you?
I tried calling out,
But no one was around,
Cause where were you?

Words are.
wordynerd Aug 2015
Words are bullets
And every single one burns through me
Creating an infectious hole
Each one tears me down
And rips me apart

Words are knives
And each syllable flies toward me
And opens a new wound
   Each blade cutting deeper
And deeper than the last

Words are machine guns
Tearing through and destroying me
Piece by piece, I'm torn apart
But no one can see
Cause it's all in my head

If I Could. . .
wordynerd Aug 2015
If I could
Wish a million things
I would only wish for a pair of wings
If I could
Fly up to the clouds
Nothing you say would bring me down
Oh and if I could
Spread my wings and soar
You wouldnt see me here anymore

Before You Sleep
wordynerd Aug 2015
I wish I am the last thing you see,
Right before you fall asleep.
And maybe I hope that when you dream,
You'll dream of us, just you and me.

Suppose she was a wildflower...
She didn't need to depend on any one to help her grow.
She just did it.
She absorbed the sunshine,
Drank the raindrops.
She was wild;
Not like an animal but a beautiful,
Colorful,  innocent little flower.
She added to the world,
Made it a beautiful place,
And never realized it.
She was a wildflower.

Wild Hearts Don't Break
wordynerd Feb 2015
Wild hearts, they say don't break
But mines had all that it can take
It beats itself on these iron walls
And my oh my it's seen it all
It's wearing down on these iron rails
This wild heart makes me old and frail

Wild hearts, they can't be tamed
That's why they're kept inside a cage
It's survived some wars inside of me
And my oh my the things it's seen
It keeps the rhythm of my own song
This wild heart won't be caged for long

My heart has scars,
But it's on the mend.
It won't break,
But it sure can bend.
Take a shot,
Fire away,
Give it all you've got,
But wild hearts don't break.

Welcome to Wonderland
wordynerd Feb 2015
Hello, this is wonderland
Everyone has gone mad
If you're normal,
This place will change that.
Welcome to wonderland

You'll wonder what's the matter,
When you meet the mad hatter.
You'll wander to that little drink,
That seems to have made you shrink.
But be warned of the cake most of all,
For it will make you grow so tall.

Hello, this is wonderland,
Everyone has gone mad.
If you're normal,
We'll change that.
Welcome to wonderland.

You'll meet the White Rabbit,
And be curious about his habbits.
The Cheshire Cat will be a scare,
Once you see, he's not all there.
Now the Knave of Hearts,
Never stole the Red Queen's tarts.

Hello, this is Wonderland.
Everyone has gone mad.
If you're normal,
We'll change that.
Welcome to Wonderland.

It's a wonderful place,
Here in Wonderland.
There's monsters to face,
Here in Wonderland.
They'll drive you mad,
We can't change that.
If you have any fears,
You'll meet them here,
In Wonderland.
We're all mad here in Wonderland.

Hello, this is wonderland.
Everyone has gone mad.
If you're normal,
We'll change that.
Welcome to Wonderland.

if only
wordynerd Dec 2014
I would take it all back,
if only I could.
I would have changed for the better,
done what I should.
I hope they forgive me,
if only they would.
I would start all over,
if only I could.
