There was nothing special about this loveless lustful clip of time
i drove down this road today
a road that’s tainted with your smile
your laugh
your eyes.
i drove until my eyes were blurry
and my lungs were aching.
even the trees sing your name,
throwing it around on a winter breeze.
you’re everything.
you’re everywhere.
Branches stretching out
reaching into the sky,
beside a carpet of dead leaves
stands a crooked trunk

like arms seeking forgiveness
bending over to the ground,
not even a dead crow dares
to perch atop this soulless husk

flowers surround the view
unmindful and innocent,
a painters palette, a bed
of sweet scented allure

it defies nature for this
beauty, this magnificence-
to exist blissfully alongside
all these colourful hues
Life in plastic folds,
Dreams wrapped tight in fleeting hope,
Trash cradles the soul.
Living out of garbage bags episode in life.
Sharp winter branches,
blue-black bruises pierce the lake,
stillness cuts the air.
Winter walk.
As I lay my heart to rest
I pray my minds decisions are best
To be cold and strong today
Is better than being thrown away
I won’t be discarded
I won’t be used
This heart needs rest
No more abuse
I slept tonight and live tomorrow
For time is something I cannot borrow.
There’s a weather warning out
The wind is going to clout
They say it’s the west
But it came unto the east
It has a name, the beast !

Well the rain came down
Luckily we didn’t drown
Heavy though it was

Then the wind attacked our garden
Turning over furniture
Moving Buddha quite a way
And that was only yesterday

I hate to know what next
What will it do today?
The wind makes me quite nervy
Everything topsy turvey
Indoors I think I’ll stay !
I probably need some surgery
or possibly
something that's sugary
oh
cut me a slice of Mum's apple pie
and then I can die
quite peacefully.

Ugh.
Seven on a Sunday
which is the time and not my age
just in case you were wondering
and still raining,

decisions to make
go to work or take the day off?

I know
I'll go

done,
and I will be.
