the wrong one
will find you in peace
and end up leaving you in pieces

only the right one
can find you in pieces
and guide you to peace
Can you feel the sweet sun on your skin
Can you see its smile in the sky as it spreads out
Can you see the birds fly as well
Singing beautifully
Can you feel the morning you couldn't wait to wake up in from last night
Can you smell the sweet waft of morning coffee
Can you hear the noise in the city from car engines and welding machines
If you can
Be grateful
You have made it to a new day
Living in the tomorrow you promised yourself yesterday
It's a new day
Let's celebrate
Thank God for the gift of life in these pandemic times
Because of all the pain
you put me through,
Am never going to love again
and if I do it won't be true...

Because of the sad goodbye
won't entertain another hello
for I found myself a bitter lie
in a truth so sweet and mellow

*because of all forgotten time
am thinking loving is a crime
a green snake lying in the thyme
I'd rather piece another rhyme
I fell in love
&
I loved the fall.
That's how I knew
it was true.
I always wish we met before your first love
so that I'd have been your deepest incision and your easiest decision
and often hope you learn to love me as much as you loved him
which is half as much as I love you, for I love you to Venus and back...
My affection for you is cosmic, I've seen the universe because I've seen you
you're something of a galactic existence, an extraterrestrial
in a terrestrial world of mice and men, why's and when, nows and then
I'd tripped into the past and you've walked me back to the future...
I'd failed to learn what love really meant, I've finally met my teacher
It's my prayer you be on the final page of my lifestory,
on mother Earth you would be a once upon a time of a happy ending
and even if they say happy endings are stories that aren't finished yet
I think they're a point the twist is beyond the understanding
of the mind behind the canvas and the quill,
beyond the reach of the perilous vivisection of the pen,
am going to love you until that unfathomable point, until half past forever
a quarter a mile beyond eternity, just ahead of happily ever after.
you're the ultimate treasure, this' the hunt that counts, am never saying never...
You're my motivation, you understand what I feel, and that's something
yet it all starts from something and builds to a tale to remember
it all starts from a January and before you know it it's December
it all starts from a spark and makes Ash of what was once an enormous ember...
you're a war I'd fight the universe to win,
a journey of a million miles and ain't about to surrender...
My only regret is I didn't know you when you were younger
so that I would have Loved you longer
in this lifetime, and this bond we share could be stronger...
and my biggest worry's the rest of my life might not be enough
for me to love you in the million ways I believe I can...
My deepest pain is even these words don't really say what I feel...
they're merely a construct my hopeless mind could make
of the turmoil in my heart and soul, for what I feel is more than what my mind can take
You'll give me the skies but I'll still crave her eyes
enchant me with charms, I'll ache for her in my arms
you'll point me to the right track and I'll still be lost
for I can't be found unless it's in the curvature of her smile...
forever's so long, she makes it a quarter a mile
bless me void of her and I'll be cursed
without her am a living dead , am my worst.
You'll hand me diamonds and I'll still dig her,
as she's the treasure am seeking to find...
am entangled in a maze no spell can unbind.
Forget sunshine, she's my most memorable dawn
for she's a midnight sun, a glowing moon at noon...
I'll travel the world but she'll remain the place I crave to see
the adventure I long to take, an absence that sets me in ecstasy
the hardest wave that ever hit my sails even after I cross every Sea...
Wrecked in the stormy ocean of a love lost you were
the anchor that kept me from washing further off course
in that depth of dark despair you were a North Star in my sky
you understood my pain even if you arrived when my eyes were dry
for in the loud silence of depression you heard my cry
and made me feel special when I was all wound and scar...
it was the end of the road for me but then you came along
that's why I'd gladly be convicted if loving you is wrong.
He gifted her stars, but left them in the sky,
so eternities would witness how brightly their love would fly.
He bought her the moon but lent it to the night,
So that forever, the night would bask in her gentle light.
He planted for her roses, with petals soft and red,
A fragrant promise that their love would bloom and spread.
He gifted her the ocean, with its vast embrace,
To carry his brimful feelings for her, an infinite vase.
He carved for her a statue, but placed it in the park,
A symbol of their unity, a love that would leave its mark.
He crafted for her a sonnet, but whispered it to the breeze,
A verse that spoke of forever, a love that would flow with ease.
He built for her a castle, but perched it upon a cloud,
So that she would always be down to earth
He offered her a map, with uncharted lands to explore,
Lands too far but she had come to stay and never soar.
He granted her a wish, but told her to keep it,
Its magic they'd store for when they'd need it...
"When your turn finally arrives," he says,
"you'll understand why the wait was really long.
You'll see why the storm was rough and strong,
Why the Ocean was endless, the sails torn.
When your turn finally arrives, every tree in this jungle will make sense.
You'll appreciate each wound and scratch for the beautiful scars they are.
You'll finally see adventures in your endless journey.
You'll realize that the burdens and weight you couldn't bear
were merely the crucible where your strength was forged.
The wrecking heartbreaks, the tears you've shed,
You'll learn chiseled your spirit and your character made.
When your turn finally arrives, you'll understand that
The purpose of going through the deepest caverns and the darkest tunnels
was to unearth hidden gems, like precious pearls in funnels.
When your turn arrives, amid life's daily stumbles,
You'll discover that each loss you picked up along the way
collectively turned you into the masterpiece that you are."
I look back at my poetry
The ones about sunshine
Strawberrys
And fresh breezes
To remind myself
That at some point
I was truly happy
