anna
to all my lovers,

please indemnify
the bits of myocardium
you borrowed from me.

you may return them to this address:

I write to stay alive,
To release the words that tear my flesh
In their efforts to be born into this world.
I write to leave my mark on the universe
Rather than leaving marks on my skin.
I write to prevent the silence from strangling me
In its utter oppressiveness.
I write to wash the sins out of my body
And the stains off of my hands.
I bleed ink rather than blood
And wax poetic to avoid coveting new scars.
I write because it's the only way I've ever learned
To externalize the humanity that cuts me so deeply.
I write because language saves me from myself.
I write because my very existence depends on it.

Deep roots grounded into the earth,
A pragmatic way of being,
I've finally realised my worth,
And a horizon I am seeing.

our lips will never meet
nor our fingers intertwine
and so bless my dreams
for indulging what's not mine

Slowly, very slowly, the child stops fighting, starts to lay down shield and sword and crawls out of its dark corner, shifts towards the light [...]
it is warm and i worry
about the ice melting

Time is free but priceless .

I need you to know
I need you to heal
I need you use
Your poetic will
To lift the world
To join the band
I need you to
Give more
Than a ****!
Lift your voice
And be heard
A better world
Is what you deserve !!

Cause God love you
Yes We do!

I thought if I could swallow the stars
I’d be as beautiful as the evening sky
I tried one night    with fireflies
They burned my throat
Their legs striking at soft flesh
But my skin did not glow
No moon crawled from my eye sockets
I was left with corpses in my stomach
I soon learned I would only ever be
A cemetery
