I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)
it was quiet here yesterday
the rain came and dripped
with noises outside the back
i looked out to see the gutter
slipped and listened to the
sounds

looked at the wet glistening
on the ivy

wedged the cloth to soak
the water up then lit the fire

done some drawings
&
cookings. a pleasant
day for me

comparing large dresses

hoping that all will be
well

with morse

Time and risk caught up to you;
Gagged you into silence.
Chasing down the dragon was
Your favorite form of violence.

I saw its markings on your skin;
The gauntness of your eyes
Your searching fingers scratching down
To truth, as you breathed lies

China white won this round, love
You thought you'd always dance
The dragon chose another one
And turned its gaze askance.

Toss a penny my way
Courage is the art
of being the only one
who knows what you fear.

Coronavirus
Everyone is panicking
I just want to Live.
Our situation is serious,  but panicking causes far more harm than good... be informed,  use good sense, take care with what you do and the decisions you make,  and realize that this has always been the case and will still be important even after people calm down.... and all it took was a sub-microscopic un-organism to open our collective eyes...

This simple, inelegant Haiku came to mind the other day when I was at work... I work in a restaurant and that's one of the most iffy spots to be right now... the last line has less to do with worrying about death and more to do with missing the normalcy of life that changed so quickly... I have faith that things will go back more or less to how they were ...eventually ...and I hope that everyone will do their part to make sure we come through this safely and perhaps stronger and more knowledgeable.

right now
we are staring
at each other's soul

right now
we are distanced
like Jakarta to Seoul

right now
we are laughing
though not like cheap flick

our screens
connect us

the last straw
long distance, i guess

Our backs hold stories
Not even the spine
On a book can handle
Forests filter water
Birds & bees pollinate crops
Rivers get us drinking water
We alter ecosystem
Polluting our food platter

Livestock on earth
is health and economic
Source of
prosperity
By destruction of it
Human being is
hanging upside down
Of the fear of
Zoonotic diseases
Having no medicity
Your insults
are just like
petrol
to my
gleaming
firey
personality.

Your insults
don't break me.
they make me stronger.
