Find someone

Who thinks of you like the sun.

Someone who is happy to see you in the morning

Basking in your warmth

Even if they can't look you straight in the eye.

Find someone

Who looks at you like the moon.

Someone who can see you shining bright

Even in the dark

Someone who will always be there

To watch you change forms

Only to think that your beauty

Is always the same.

Find someone

Who sees you

And thinks of the stars.

Someone who will stop whenever they can

Just to have a quiet moment

To point you out

Reminding you how lovely you are

Even in the simplest of moments.

Find someone

Who reminds you of the universe

Earth, galaxy, and beyond.

Someone who only has to hold your hand

Say a simple word

Or flash you a smile

For you to see clear skies

Moonbeams

Stardust

And heaventops

All wrapped up into their very being.

Find someone

Who makes you feel

Better than worldly

And let them know

That they are just as lovely.
Writing short poems.

It's hard for me, I tell you.

My brain talks too much.
Oh, love

I know it's been forever

(Please don't look at me that way)

But I really need you now.

I mean

You and I both know

It's only a matter of time before I come crawling back to you

Every time

Right?

(I can just barely remember a time when that wasn't so.)

For now

I think it's best

We just forgive and forget --

You know, be virtuous and all that --

Because I love you --

I really do --

And I truly haven't needed something in a long while

As much as I need you

Right this very second.

In fact, my dear

You're making me hurt just by standing there --

Oh, and what a sweet agony --

Just staring at me

Waiting on me.

You have me so entranced

So transfixed

That just seeing you, so close to me

So accessible

Just about kills me.

I swear

As soon as our eyes met

From across this crowded room

My stomach tied itself into a captain's knot

My heart bared down on the gas pedal

My bones caved in on one another

Leaving me a horrifically contorted abstract figure

A caricature of humanity.

(Look at me -- I'm ruined.)

I could barely even walk to meet you

For the pain ripping through me.

I figure you should know. that

Despite the nauseating feeling of anguish overtaking me

You still looked so marvelously enticing

Inviting enough to have me salivating

Like one of Pavlov's dogs.

(You ruined me.)

So now

I'm standing in front of you

Practically begging on my knees --

Oh, how humiliating --

Pleading for you to

Please, please, please

Take me back

Help me out

Put me out of my misery.

Of course, my love

Being who you are

All it takes is those few words

For you to take me in your arms

And hold me tight enough

To ensure that I won't be going anywhere

For a very long while.

I close my eyes

Feeling every wound heal by your touch alone

And feel truly human

Truly awake

Truly alive

For the first time

Since I last left.

Oh, love

How did I ever live without you?

(I ruined me.)
Go where you want
Whenever you need a friend

But remember...

when life comes to a stand still
When tears comes in your eyes

When life comes to a stand still
When everything is going wrong

You'll see me standing there
remember me...
I'll always be there

When I see a smile on your face
To help you, To serve you
and see you cheerful and bright
When loneliness is your companion
Believe me my dear friend..

And your world seems to come to an end
You'll find me there when you're alone

Remember me....

I'll come alone.....
Friendship  is  a  Flower.      Sweet  and  Fragrant

                                     Friendship  is  a  Diamond
      Precious  and  Glittering

                                         Friendship  is  a  Tree
    Thick  and  Sheltering

Friendship  is  a  Mountain           Steadfast  and  Lofty

      Friendship  is  a  Star
     Shining  and  Bright

Friendship  is  a  Way.              Don't leave or Forget

   Keep  going  on  it
       Keep  going  on  it...
I ripped my heart out
then put it on your silver platter
and all you can say is
“ I’ll text you later .”
I guess this is how heartbreak goes for some people.

Take my heart
Break it in two
Crumble it to pieces
Its okay I want you too

Tell me pretty lies
Syrup dipped candy
You're words have such sweetness
Keep on drinking that brandy

Beat around the bush
Play you're little games
Run wild and free
Be sure to fasten my chains

Kiss that other girl
Play me like an upright base
Feed me those excuses
Let the tears pour down my face

Allow me to feel the love
Thats as plastic as that grin
False sense of security
Call it my original sin

Take another trophy
Place it upon your shelf
Right next to the rest of them
I'm sure your proud of yourself

Throw me away once at the end
Once you've had your fill
Just like the rest of them
I'll tumble downhill

I'll cry out my heart
Desperately want you back
But just like the rest of them
I was just another past time snack

I'm stupid I know
But hit play
I'm stuck on repeat

Help me.....

~
Because when I'm not with you,
I'm thinking about being with you.
Because when I see you,
every muscle in my body,
every sense, is awakened.
Because I don't care
for anything else.
Because, I told her,
I would never leave this town,
I would never make my dream,
I would carry my troubles
heavy on my shoulders,
I would work until my knuckles bled,
I'd go hungry,
I'd go sleepless,
I'd shed my skin a million times,
I'd take on a million faces,
I'd break and fall and hurt and cry
if it meant that I could do it all with you.
Who could ever understand a heart like mine?
What a mess, what a maze, what a caged bird awaiting flight

And yet a few relate, those who take the time
Comprised of patience, generosity, compassion and sunshine

Most may call them strangers, but I know them as friends
Each expressing emotions and moving mountains through pen

Your humble hearts hurt more than most,
And your vulnerability often leaves you exposed

But promise me you'll never stray from your truth
Because I'm more confident today
Knowing pieces of my heart reside also within you

A dedication to a few of my dearest writers who have taken the time to get to know my heart--who understand it because their hearts beat to a similar song. I'm blessed to call you my friend.
