oh my stars Jul 2015
I saw stars in your eyes
And they shone
Like diamonds-
They were beautiful.
We ran together,
Forever running
Towards us,
Away from everything else.
I held your hand
For affection
Or protection?
I clung to you.
Now you won't let me go.
You are chasing me and
I am running away
From you.
The stars in your eyes
No longer shine:
They are black holes.
even something as beautiful as a star becomes dangerous and empty

We write poems about the same girl.
Isn't she beautiful?
oh my stars Jun 2015
As I scrolled through her memories,

I could feel her pain burning through the screen

Into my eyes.

I cried for the girl she used to be:

Lonely

Forgotten

Sad.

She has always been beautiful

But

It took her a while to realise

Because

Her soul was stolen

By the darkness that lives inside.
i'm so sorry you went through that. i love you

Lie
My poisonous lips lock
With his beauty,
I restrain the tears-
Imprisoning them behind bars of a happy façade.
But they are not criminals.
It is my smile that is guilty.
I utter the three words he wants to hear
And smile
While my heart writhes
In pain
As I lie.
I'm sorry
oh my stars Jun 2015
They leapt at her,
Crept inside her mind and
Altered her thoughts.
They intervened with her emotions,
Caused her to imagine new worlds
Of which she was not a part.
They scared her
And with her rope of ignorance,
She strangled the words.

The rain falls,
Endlessly tumbling from frangible wisps of love.
Each droplet touches my bare skin with delicacy,
Pirouetting as they engulf the intricate curves of my naked figure.
I dance in the downpour,
Absorbing the joy as I watch the sorrow deliquesce.
It is beautiful.

Saying goodbye
To someone you love
Is like reading the final page
Of an amazing book.

As the last chapter ends
You begin to notice
Just how beautiful
And perfect
The plot always was.

You appreciate the joy
And even the pain
As you read and thumb
Through every page.

Finally understanding
The moral of the story,
You realize you've reached
The end of this journey.

Although the last sentence
Is the most difficult to read
Another great book awaits
Once you turn the final page.

Eventually you may stumble
Upon yet another great find.
Or maybe you'll return
To the book you left behind.

You may just discover
Once all is said and done
That this particular book
Was your favorite story
All along.
