I chase after balloons without a second thought. I break into a full sprint down the street, across a parking lot, onto a busy road, just about anywhere, don't care who sees, don't care who stares. I once caught two balloons on the same day within about 5 minutes of each other. It was a great day.
Spontaneity - the game within the game. Thrills and Joys abound. The rewards can be profound. Play at your own risk.

i have a yearning
a desire which pangs at my ribs
that aches like an old lover's betrayal
to run into the forest barefoot
to climb up mountains for no reason
swim with my clothes on in the ocean

i yearn to make myself a home
in the feeling of spontaneity.
stay safe everyone, wash your hands and stay inside <3

Run for the hills
Here comes Lorena Bobbitt
Don't stick out your neck
Don't shop until it drops
Just call yourself a taxi
And she just might
Pass you by

"I'm a taxi..."
I'm an addict now. Yet another in response to a poem challenge from Elizabeth Leone Laird. See her poem "Clarity" and take the challenge!

3 is a backwards E
But V is the prettiest letter to me
I guess I'm a sucker for triangles
And the item on my wish list
That best bedazzles
And primps with such grace
I swear she winks
When right up in my face
Still going! Another in response to a poem challenge from Elizabeth Leone Laird. See her poem "Clarity" and take the challenge!

The waffle bird
Flew a bit silly
Like a **** pad with wings
Yet with its sharp claws
Reached down into the water
And pulled out
A dinner boat
Serving breakfast all day long...
Third and final (maybe) one in response to a poem challenge from Elizabeth Leone Laird. See her poem "Clarity" and take the challenge!

Pay dirt
Pay phones
Pay the sitter for her time in hell
with the twins
You'll never earn enough
to call long distance
Unless you move to Italy
and live the dream
of making heart-shaped pizzas

You're here for my pleasure
In all kinds of weather
Floated down from above
Like peace in a mechanical dove
Goes through the trapdoor

Spontaneity planned every afternoon
There was plenty of time to be responsible later
It felt like freedom, sunlight beaming down and a gentle breeze
It felt like freedom, running through the rain
It felt like freedom, the plans to run away with you

Comfort wraps me up every night
Time to reflect on the day
It feels comforting, open ears await my rambling thoughts
It feels comforting, the warmth of you holding me while I fall asleep
It feels comforting, to finally be where I am supposed to be

It feels free to love you
It feels comforting to love you and be loved by you
A poem that reflects one of the most joyous parts of my life
Foreign places,
Foreign faces,
With nothing,
   And no one to lose...

And not a second's grief gain'd but with my own anxieties.

Just a moment's notice is all it takes to turn a moment's motives from having a good time to just getting away.

Spare me the sickness of my socialities,
Stare into my petrified eyes and fill them with tears,

If nothing else,
But just to displace my fears.

~Robert van Lingen
i just want to smile
I lust for the grasp of hope's embrace.
The gentle slumber of no further worries.

I crave the eyes in which I will drown,
and the restful days within them.
