Please say you remember
The ages that have past,
A family so large with one woman in charge
The time it moves so fast.

A history repeated
Through the paths of time
A soldier, a sailor,
A prayer and dream maker,
All encompassed in some crime

Many children, different mothers,
Adopted, born in sin
Amongst tears and blood and a five year long flood
Their drive was just to win.

As one was added, one was torn away,
Listen, beg for them to stay.
“...time was not passing...it was turning in a circle...”
You threw a bomb at me in a war zone I didn't know existed my heart
Beat
Was meant to be a haven of peace but you detonate and I flutter to the ground
In a heart
Beat
The world spun out of its axis
My body was not ready for the aftermath
Of the effect of your soul on my soul
I can hear a pin

Every time someone says your name in a conversation I
Freeze
And in the space of a breath I can see, hear, smell and touch you
I can almost touch your love with my fingertips
Like holding a heart
Beat
Oprgan transplant to give a new life I wear a mask and observe my heart
Beat
As it quivers for you, longing to feel your breath on my lips
The overload of senses is too much on my fragile heart
Beat
The devastation is unlike anything I ever witnessed
My home is a pill of dust and I don't feel safe
Walking around the ruins
I stay tucked under the stars I never close my eyes anymore
Behind my eyelids the world is ruined
And my blood boils with anger you
Exploded in my rib cage and destroyed everything in a heart
Beat
You threw a grenade and hid back in your own universe
Copper is seeping through my hands and the smell makes me nauseous
I hold my insides together with my own ten fingers
If only you were here to see
The desolation in my deserted heart
Beat
You were a soldier and I understood too late
Who was the enemy

(It was me, wasn't it?)

He was only 16,
                                                                He wanted to join,
he was too young to die,
he was old enough to fight,
the loss for his family,
for the good of his country,
he had so much to live for,
he had so much to die for,
that poor boy,*
                                                                that good boy.
I was going to enter a poetry competition in my college but I backed out. It had to be about war or conflict and this was what i came up with.

Before I leave,
I’ll say good bye
Look into your eyes,
Just one more time
Slowly slowly turning; slowly slowly turn
We move together.

That I won’t miss you,
I can’t lie
Hold you in my arms,
I don’t dare cry
Slowly slowly turning
Slowly slowly turn
Moving together

So please stop your crying,
I’m leaving
There’s no point in grieving
Your soul, it won’t turn black
This fighting war and trying war that kills more than just lives,
You’ll be with me when I attack

Each time I start to kneel, I just try not to feel,
My soul will die, or I will die,
But that keeps me alive
Every time I start to kneel, I try just not to feel,
My soul will die, please I can’t die
You need me alive

It’s
A fight,
I go towards the light
And people try stopping me and I can feel you calling me
With all
My might,
I clutch your voice so tight
As I lose my sight

Each time I start to kneel, I just try not to feel,
My soul will die, or I will die,
But that keeps me alive.

Every time I start to kneel, I try just not feel,
My soul will die, please I can’t die

You need me alive

Staring out of the window
Watching it all go
It's a new day tomorrow
The end of sorrow
A fresh start
But deep in my heart
I'm afraid
As the scars fade
And the jourey begins
I am counting my sins
Will I be punished?
For the duty I cherished?

HUMPTY*
DUMPTY
Sat on a wall
HUMPTY
DUMPTY
Nearly did fall, all the
King horses he rolled over
And made them in to a
Fake meat pie
And then sell them off at the
Supermarket
He rolled over the
Soldiers* to make
Sure all but one did die
Screaming.
He got on his wall
The man did
Blubber
Scream
&
Cry
For he knew his fate
Was to later die,
HUMPTY
DUMPTY
Sat on a wall
HUMPTY
DUMPTY
Did get pulled off the wall,
"He let one live"
"His biggest regret"
As he fell the guard did smile,
As he crashed to the floor
In to a frying pan,
Eggs
Ham
Herbs
And more,
And the kingdom
Was fed on omelette,
The Guard ate happily, people and all...
Didn't like how they worded or the structure so rewriting them..

A BULLET IS FIRED,
BLOOD IS DESIRED.

THERE IS NO WAY DOWN,
A SANGUINE BED AROUND.

THOSE BEHIND TABLES WATCH THE SHOW,
BUT, I'M A SOLDIER MADE TO BOW.

CUZ I'M A SOLDIER, I FIGHT FOR MY MOTHER,
TO THOSE PHONIES, I DESIRED TO TETHER.

MY END IS NEAR, I'VE A QUESTION,
TO MY COUNTRYMEN, DO I DESERVE ADMIRATION ?

I DESIRE NOTHING OVER MY CADAVER,
BUT A TRI-COLOR FLAG FOR A FLAG-WAVER.

OH MY LOVE DO NOT CRY,
CUZ, I'VE ATTAINED THE HIGHEST SKY.

LET MY LAD KNOW THE DEED OF MINE,
SO HE'LL BE NEXT IN THE MARTYR-LINE.
The Tricolor flag represents The INDIAN flag.
