Condensation from a clouded mind,
falls down like rain on a stormy night.
As you lie in bed full of dread,
Cause the things he said are in your head.
"Come to mine, we'll have a good time."
Said some slime at the bar tonight.
You say "No thanks, I'm done with drinks."
But he won't take 'no' and your stomach sinks.
As you walk out the door his feet hit the floor,
So you adorn your keys like wolverine claws.
Cause no one can be trusted while there is so much injustice.
But awareness is rising, we started emphasizing,
That we are using a system that objectifies women.
But we need to do more than just look at a score.
Mothers can't even breast feed without the use of a chest piece.
But men can look and grab and squawk.
And walk out of court after a little talk.
So fight for equality, we need a new system.
We need one that women, aren't afraid to exist in.
I wrote this poem because it is an issue that really need to be dealt with. It is a massive issue, last week in Australia 6 women died because of domestic abuse. 1 in 3 women will suffer violent abuse on their life time. One third of women. That's a problem.

you cannot silence my voice,
erase who i am and stand to be.
i will not be pushed to nonexistence,
for my story is not written in pencil,
it is written in ink.

― and i will leave my mark on history

I used to feel safe
Hiding in precarious dark alleys
Away from the orphanage

Realizing only now
Some friends leave
For better futures and families
In mysterious ways

I used to feel safe
Knowing there is food
That is thrown away
By little men with big pockets
Who just seem to get ahead

Only finding out now
I may have to work as a waitress
Or a cook at an abusive home
instead

I used to feel safe
Thinking about the ****
That gave me birth
And conception to feeling glum
Knowing they'd gone astray

Coming to the conclusion
I had no uncles
And no family friends
Back in the day

I finally feel safe
Knowing there is a place
For attractive women and intelligent men

Little do I know
Intelligence is subjective
And attraction is ******
I get ***** everyday
Never to be praised for my intelligent display
Women will speak up when they can speak up. Don't conform them

The leading cause of death for pregnant women is ******.
Givers of life should be fortified
Instead, their screams echo because no one heard her
Tender touches turn to purple hand-prints with two simple words,

" I'm pregnant."

Affairs are always understandable
Until two becomes three
Then the situation must be immediately handled
Then three becomes one so a marriage and a reputation is saved

But no one saved her.

Eating for two, sleeping for two, living for two
But the two are dying. The two are being murdered.
Killed by the one person who once suffocated them with love, now turn their lips blue
Voices shriek that abortion is wrong, but the voices hush when the one killed is the mom.

Quiet as the morgue she now lays in.
This is my first political piece, I just felt really passionate about this topic so let me know what you think!

Her effervescent soul was searching for a nonchalant voice to speak for her,
Dwindling the songs she's never heard before,
Wishing upon the stars to be independent from her own barriers.
She was rising from the flames of the fury that burned inside her.
Strong she was, she wanted to show.
Fearless ahead she wanted to go.
A place for herself she wanted in this world,
An abode where the sun would never set and the stars would never go.
She was just another woman fighting for her rights, believing she'll get them someday.

It’s alright if you disagree
Talk to me dismissively
In a minute you’ll be missing me
When I go on a giving spree
Spread forgiveness and philanthropy
Set political dissidents free
Fight for humans globally
Glowing with righteous indignation
I ignite the fiery conflagration
I assemble a mighty congregation
To end divisive dehumanization

I will broaden your perspective
Shortcut your invective
My spirit: infective
My speeches: inflective
My mind: introspective
My method: incentive
My solutions: inventive
My course: corrective
If I die I’ll leave directions
I will write advanced directives
To form an animal collective
That sets a course for correction
Then come back, resurrection

To view the utopia I brought into existence before peacefully returning to a well-earned oblivion

In a parallel universe
A universe of opprtunities and justice
A universes that gives people their rights
People would each follow a path
That truly represents what's in their hearts
Instead of a doctor
I'd be
A ballerina
An architect
An interpreter
A writer
I would be
All the dreams that were stolen from me
In a world so damaged
To fulfill a child's dream
Therefore it destroys the talents
Before it grow beyond its rein
