Middy May 2018
It's a sad old ****** Sunday
When men walk in suits,
With solemn faces in the cold wind
Tears flow down the elderly's wrinkled faces
And their hands shake
Women hold the hands
Of their whispering children
The long droning speeches are said
All is said and all is done
The poppies are placed
Everyone stands in silence
Then walks home in whispers
Paper poppies on their coats
Waking through
Freezing Autumn leaves
We walk inside our homes
We hear church bells chime
Like the ones at the funerals so long ago
We take off our coats
Leave them around
We lie in bed and sleep
We get up the next day
When all is said and done
And life goes on
Except not for the dead
And not for the ones
Who witnessed death
See this is what ****** me off about November 11th. It's a good idea except if you think about it, people just move on. By people, I mean people who will never get the picture of what it's like to see men dying around you, buried in snow and mud.
Also sorry for not being around, school has been awful recently. :(
The night fell swiftly, feeling heavy
darkly glowing, ghostly lit
The moon shone proudly, high and godly
bestowed with shine and silver tint

The Earth shifts coldly, colored boldly
across the world the seasons shift
The winds blow wild, their temper mild
as the last days, of November drift
Written at the end of November.
Lady Grey Nov 2017
It feels like a summer day,
But not the good kind

It’s warm outside,
And sunny, yes,
But also slow
...and dead

It’s the kind of summer’s blues
That I get towards the end
Of the break,
Before the next year of school starts

The kind
That I used to get
Before i got a job
Before, when i had nothing to do
At the end

It’s a nostalgia that i don’t like
Knowing that school is coming,
And wondering where the time went
After the good times
When my family was home
And weren’t tired
And neither was i

When i didn’t have to worry
At all
About my future,
About my friends,
About myself

I used to get bored of the freedom
That a three month break
Gave me

I got bored
Of doing…
Nothing

Something that i crave now

Drawing
Reading
Idly lying in the grass
And staring at the clouds

Wondering where the time has gone
A feeling I got over the weekend

Sunset vine in the suppressed crowd
Heart's pounding so hard and loud
A whole thread with extreme machines
They're somewhat things I've never seen

Pigmented cheeks, numb veins, soul enchanted
These are moments that I've wanted
Gleaming stars from above are mesmerizing
Hours are enough and totally amazing

Giggles and screams, joy and beams
Hearing them is like a dream
Few blissful thoughts, we're off gravity
This lovely day shows pink sanity

Cursive words, laughing in snickered wheels
Blended soothing air and hilarious feels
Rising of stomachs with butterflies attended
Raw and pesky clubhouse but independent

Pale flowers blooming in most gardens
Typical teens with sneakers and Kankens
The finale is a beautiful screenplay
Looking forward to more treasuring portraits

Freshly made memories are quite unforgettable
Afterwards, I'd exclaim, "It's actually memorable,"
Neon signs glistening clear and bright
Locked sensation with the floating lights
A "six-word-challenge" poem :)

~ Personally, November could be the worth ber-month I would have this 2017, but something special happened within it, so why not form it into letters? Just because I could also share it with you too x.

We all have bad days,
And just now must be mine,
What are you smiling at,
Haven't you had thine?

Rejections and failures,
And numerous palls of sadness,
I've pulled through these before,
I have got the finesse!

Although some confidence gets undermined,
And my fate is, apparently,
In the hands of you- an imbecile;
But I am still okay to walk on.
Surprise, surprise! I am not dying.

One day the tables will turn,
And I want you to feel what I feel.
I am not looking at revenge,
For neither are you made of steel.

I think I will let go of it,
And the time shall move on,
For that's what it does best.
As for me,
Skilled sailors were never made by the seas
That were the smoothest.

Patience is the key.
Inspired by Chase Goehring's 'A Capella'.
November poem done!
stephanie Nov 2017
the night has covered the town.
dim streetlights line the edges of sidewalks
it's the only light we have
this deep in November
the clouds hug the moon and hide her
from our world
and the raindrops fall and kiss our cold blushed faces
this deep in November
frost has yet to make an appearance
but whistles and whispers that it's nearby
this deep in November
the only warmth we find is in each other
bodies under blankets
we heat ourselves with love
this deep in November
Children's day
Celebrated on 14th November
In schools every year

Our Teachers presented dramas
And Light musicals on stage

The fancy dress
A visual treat
And a lesson, short

The children treated
With Goodies
Fond and vivid
The childhood memories

Today it's my children
Who keep the child in me alive
My younger son wears a pair of socks
Of two different colours
Asks me to match the other pair with him
It's 'hidden' , he says
And I do follow

Let's celebrate its children's day
Believe in the child within
Today and everyday
Happy Children's Day
Today 14th November , is the birthday of our first prime minister
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru . We celebrate children's day in his honour ,
For the fact that he loved children . He was fondly called Chacha(Uncle) Nehru
