We've grown distant
two lonely lighthouses
in the middle of the ocean
our glow shining away
from each other

Sailors come for safety
little did they know

We are searching for
the light too.
“So that was the Lighthouse, was it? No, the other was also the Lighthouse. For nothing was simply one thing” - Virginia Woolf

I saw you on the shore, waving back at me from a far
Goodbye my love, goodbye forever
Forever, I thought, what a terrible thing
With tears in my eyes, please don’t let it be

May your love be the lighthouse that guides me home
When I am old and grey, and time has gone
When the chains have fallen from my hands
And freedom has given me hope that I may hold you again

Because our love was never in our faces or in our bodies
It was in our eyes
When I looked into yours, and you looked into mine
We saw beyond ourselves, and became one

This picture of you I carried with me all those years
Was only enough to remind me of your spirit
for every time I looked in the eyes of your painted image
I saw only hazel
and I felt so alone

but now as I live these seconds slow
not knowing when I will go
the picture that became a fleeting mystery
has taken on flesh, and become real once more

and after so long, and such pain
you stand before me on the shore
drawing me in to a face and body I no longer know
with hope and fear I look into your eyes
And again at last I see
The home
and the love
that forever, I’ve known
Enjoy. A poem about a man wondering if upon his return home after many long years the love he shared with his wife and family will be real and apparent again.

Even if I waited, as I would,
On the harbor of the sea from which you've drifted,
You are the Captain of your driftwood.
I am a Lighthouse.
Standing on its own, but beckoning a safe return.

Tonight I am drowning
Waves of missing you
Crashing all around me
My swirling current of thoughts
Pulls me under
Lost in a sea of tears
Longing to see your lighthouse
To guide me back to safety

you were my lighthouse
out on the sea
you were my lighthouse
calling for me

you were my lighthouse
out on the bluff
you were my lighthouse
when times were rough

when the waves mercilessly crashed
up onto my sides
and pulled me down under,
deep beneath the tides

you were my lighthouse
standing true and tall
you were my lighthouse
with me through it all
we all need a lighthouse in life :,)

In the night blooms the flowers..
Unseen by sunlight..
Shadows dance in the pale moonlight..
Blooming pedal's dusk towers..

In the chamber on the sea mountain side..
Flame burns sky blue...
Wooden floor kissed with golden sand..
The dreamers arrive soon..

The flower colors in the moonlight..
Mixed in with glowing silver rays..
Can't tell if they are blue or maybe a dark gray..
Soon the sun will award true color from the dying night..

The dreamers gather in the chamber by the sea..
They form a lighthouse of imaginations and dreams..
For the mind eye to open and see..
That the stars above are really part of you and me...
I saw a light house in a dream.. Created by other dreamers like me..

I saw you there writing
A line of loved ones who destroys you
And when you speak louder in your silence
I see tears running the wrong way
But when the seasons are waiting for you to return
It will bring the wind that you need

And if the world is cold
If the ocean drowns you
Just reach me and we will face it together
If the sun won’t rise during your darkest day
Just hold on to me
We will make it through

I can calm your mind
I know it races to the void
If you are heading there drowning in thoughts
Please let me be your lighthouse
That will guide you.

'Twas a time I deemed thee love;
  the echoes lacked contraire
Sea moon shadows dance across
  this isle of despair

Entwined flesh eyes doth ne'er perceive,
  outside the mortal's scope
No sole charter giveth passage
  through salty waves unknown

'Tis what I think to see thee there
  on pedestals of gold
Forevermore you place thyself
  on stalwart shores alone

Unfurl thy sails for distant lands;
  the lighthouse shines once more
Praying to gods that long lost ship
will find its way to port.

On the edge of the shore I stood,
the waves hitting my feet roughly,
the wind being jealous.

Far on my left side,
was a lighthouse standing mightily,
unbothered by the waves and the wind
that were fighting for its attention.

Standing mightily, in spite of being alone,
like it was waiting for someone,
for something to happen.

The lights tell otherwise,
they were always flashing brutally,
like telling people not to come close,
like warning them they'd get hurt if they come close.

It looks blue,
with the colors that started to fade
on every side.

How does it feel to be a lighthouse?
Standing on the edge of two worlds,
with the waves crashing, with the wind blowing,
when the tide rises, when the tide falls.

Does it ever get tired?
