Sail away

We all sail away in the end.
Yeah we all sail away in the end.
When the horizon calls, we will be walking to a fall,
Because we all sail away in the end.

When the storm calls our name,
We will have been found but never saved,
Because we all sail away in the end.
Life is only one day in an eternity of time,
So go get what you deserve before you end up dead.
When you are carried away by the rising of the tides,
You will be free to leave and I hope you get to begin again.

If the winters doors do not open anymore,
All the heat in the world will not let you through to see the sun.
We all rise and fall, as our sail carries us for-
Words are all that remain when we are gone.
As we rise, we fall, as we sail onwards towards the shore,
We see our end before our time has come to rule the world.

In a sea of lies, we are floating butterflies;
We need the sun to dry our wings out before we can fly.
If we are carried on high, then we will have been justified;
If we believe, maybe we will walk into the light.

Oh we’re all heading home in the end.
Yeah we’re all heading home in the end.
When the moment comes and we sail off into the sun,
All the stars will lead us to a place,
Where we can be with our friends.

My friend

In a land without beginning, I cannot think about the end.
In a world where I should have been winning, I could only pretend.
I cannot deceive you now and tell you that I have no gift;
I cannot lie to you now and say I have nothing to give.
I have to give you my words, so you can see the real me.
I am love, I am yours; I am more than just a poetic piece.

If Heaven came calling and I was never seen again,
Would I have left a good impression upon this world?
I hope you have been affected by the words that I say,
Because if I am taken or even if I am forsaken,
Then all that would be left to do was leave your mind behind to twirl.

We are all here for a reason and my reason is this;
Born to write, half the time, the rest I spend being in love.
If we cast aside our desires, then would we even have lived?
Love is my passion, it drives me forward and it stops me giving up.

I have said I am nothing, but something I am.
I could claim to tell the truth
And you could claim I am an impostor,
Or I could simply share my thoughts with you.
I could have kept silent, but I chose to stand;
Nothing is given, you must earn it and so that is what I will do.

No dramatics or lies, just blood, sweat and tears.
My books are growing, my words multiplying and I am but a pen.
As each night falls and each sun rises, I am slipping through the years.
But on the last day, on my grave it will say…
He was a poet, a lover and my friend.

O Sun,
O Moon,
Will I see ye once more?

By word I marched,
By order I bled,
There is a stale silence in this winter air.

I am last standing yet not unscathed,
Pain writhes through me,
But this man yet stands.

I carry on to see her, Sun.
I carry on to see her, Moon.

Sun shines on my heart and heals wounds all.
Moon cools heart and calms souls complete.

Without ye I may not carry forth,
Carry forth this weight of mine pains.

Yet shall I see these divine again,
The hurt shall be lifted,
The aches dispelled,
And Happily will this man live with his Sun and his Moon

I want to
Leave a message for
My fallen about a
Legacy that brings an end
To all of our pain.
You can see it now, can't you?
Uncover the secret message if you can.

It's dark,
Shaun Morgan is bellowing into my ears that he's reliving the same experiences over and over,
That nothing's forever.

The flick of a bic,
The taste of tobacco and ash,
Filling my lungs and giving my brain a buzz,
And in this sleepless night I'm inclined to agree with him,
Nothing lasts forever,
So what are you waiting for?
(2017)

He offered me these roses;
Exceptional and true,
But when the peaches started,
The gallant birds suffused.

As time concurred the legacy,
His merit turned away.
I feebly slept, anointed,
And wind replied this day.
