Oh door to nowhere,
How is your handle so worn
Yet you're out of reach
Helicopter seed
comes to rest on the green moss —
A princess in bed

YOU emanate GRACE
that to say — you're beautiful
would be           REDUNDANT

The moon comes to me,
at once with melancholy.
Like old friends.
That was my first attempt at a haiku a couple of weeks ago. :)

Regret anchoring
me down from reaching out, to
that what lies ahead.
Geof Spavins Nov 14
Endless night, no rest,
Silent screams within the dark,
Mind adrift, alone.
A life after death
prayerfully sought in churches —
Mushrooms in tree stumps
Human victims inhuman disease
Gases fill memories chamber
Survivors a perpetual breed

This poem may not be 5-7-5
Japanese Haiku, but it is still a Haiku.
Remembrance Day here in Canada.
This is my tribute to the living hope of continuing valiant attempts at arresting worldwide atrocities against humanity, which continue to this day.

Here's to life...
tapping at my window-
the lemon tree,
morse code...
A Haiku
