I walk a lonely road lined with freesias,
red and yellow of all shades.
I stop to pick a few, I lift them to my nose.
extending some to you,
I’m met with knit brows,
confusion floods my face as you turn
and walk away.
I set down my bouquet of flowers,
a gift I picked just for you,
and turned away so soon.

I wake up to a sunrise.
One of those life highs.
An idea starts to crystallize.

The gift of life.
The most precious gift.
Feel your spirits lift.

Stop for a time and look around.
Do you see what you've found?
The small pleasures of life abound.

The beauty of nature.
Sensations to savor.
Family and friends to love with great vigor.

A world to discover.
Creations to mother.
The gift of life.

I bought you a present
and  hid it  in my palm
I clutched it till I  bled
waiting for   you to come
I brought you the gift
you will never receive

The one you gave,
It’s not complete
As its half is lost.

I lost it.

Now I don’t want to live a lie
I just want to live my life
But for now let’s play it by ear
In this world that’s so surreal
I can wait with you my dear
Happiness is not far from here

Let the mountains run high
With the moon so low
Feel the wind upon your face
And let’s be mindful
That the world is a beautiful place

See the water falling from the sky
Remind me
We were gifted
The dimension of time
But I grow older with every tide
And I have moved on
From this calamitous life of mine
