I use to believe in God, that was until December 23. I now question my faith because of you. You left me on route one in Norwalk Connecticut scared and alone I didn't even know you left. The alcohol consumption that night was a little too high for someone to be walking home at midnight. Merry Christmas to everyone who had to realize that they're shining star died out . My shining stars light died yet for five months I thought it was still burning. You destroyed me, the words I forgive you will never roll off my tongue  being honest towards you. If I could take a trip to heaven I promise you would be sitting there with the dining table a fork and a big smile on your face. Number 41 I hate you. I hate you for leaving me on route one I hate you for making me believe I would see you soon. Yet I still love you, you're the only big brother I've ever actually had. Do you only person who ever told me I believe in you having me believe you. I love you I miss you I hope to see you soon, just not too soon okay? I will always miss you, until the day I die your smile be in the back of my head. I watch football because of you. Number 41 on the matter what team always be my favorite player. Have ever told you that I love you?
James "Kuta" Shaw died in 2011. He was hit by two cars walking home. I will miss him every day for the rest of my life.

It is hard to say
Quite where my excitement begins
Seemingly deep inside,
The adrenaline pumps
Straight from my heart.
Intrinsic as it is,
This energy builds from the drums
And the power of the cadence
As it rolls off the rims
And pounds it's dissonant melody
Deep in to my core
The roar of a thousand bodies
United under a unanimous thought
A single goal
I nearly cannot contain
The passion building inside me
The crowd swaying me
To wish for exactly what they want
I am soon swept far away
Lost deep in the energy
Propelled by endless streams of
Enthusiasm
And loud cheers of affirmation
I cannot and will not turn back
I love being lost here
Inside this beautiful cacophony
Echoing cries of pure joy
And music raised to the stars
Underneath these Friday night lights
Yep this is about football. I'm a little addicted to the high school games.

Boys play football in my heart
Their ball falls in a canal in
Venezia.
It's lost in
Venezia because I closed my eyes,
Guidebook in hand--
Phrasebook at my side--
Dictionary omnipresent somehow--

Mother calls them inside, it's time to learn again.
Momentaneamente--"at present"

Well, gentlemen, it all came together in the end there as
you will see when you study the game film later on. You
will notice that we controlled the line of scrimmage during
the entire second half, which is what turned the whole thing
around after falling behind. The way that we mixed it up on
offense, there was no telling where we were going to attack
from. That is what we have struggled with all year long. We
have been inconsistent, to say the least. But I’m sure that you
would all agree that we are starting to jell at just the right time.
Now, after a rough start to the season, it’s on to the playoffs.
Now is when we really need to focus, or it will be “one-and-out”
time. I can guarantee you one thing and one thing only. This
club has yet to reach its full potential. If we can just bang on all
four cylinders from here on out, then we might make a pretty
****** good run at this puppy. Frankly, I’m looking forward to
the challenge; I know that our guys are. They’ve worked their
butts off all year long. Forget about the record. I’ve never been
a real big fan of statistics. There are other factors involved at this
point in the season. It’s been a pleasure, folks. It’s been a long
time coming, and I am sure that this will not be our last rodeo.
Or is it last song and dance? Well, you know. We’ve got more
bulls to ride, and this is going to be like the Calgary Stampede
now. It’s time to saddle up and to man up; that’s all. Giddy up.
Punch them doggies and call in the cavalry. We have arrived!

It's not an even playing field, my heart,
It's my arena,
But you've had the home court advantage from the start

It's not an even playing field, my heart,
You score every goal,
And I barely hit the crossbar

It's not an even playing field, my heart,
Its defence was always strong,
But your tackling skills are a different art

It's not an even playing field, my heart,
It let's you foul,
And gives me your red card

It's not an even playing field, my heart,
And you knew all along,
Your tactics have always been smart

It's not an even playing field, my heart,
It's my arena,
But you've had the home court advantage from the start

So now the thing is over
all the pundits have gone back home
and the Rimet Trophy has been put away
to be played for again another day
some managers will now lose their teams
for not fulfilling a nation’s dreams.

But it is football, just a game
men paid so much, disgraceful shame
while others struggle to put food on the table
players cavorted like Betty Grable
but we watched it still – we cannot stop
I wonder when the penny will drop.

I remember pictures in black and white
when games were played in failing light
where players had jobs to earn their pay
and played the game on Saturday
where then the ref’s decision was law
and players didn't roll round on the floor.

Those days are gone and that’s for sure
the ***** were heavy and kit was poor
but player’s hearts were in the game
and not the glory of fleeting fame
when celebrity wasn't theme of the day
for men oft found to have ‘feet of clay’.

I can still remember Franz Beckenbauer playing on after breaking his arm, simply by wearing a black sling to support it…a sight you wouldn't see today.

You broke me
I stood there, tears running down my face
The hurt in my eyes, you could not see
I stood in my place
A dream I once thought could be
But you left in such haste
You broke me
The world cup I never won.
In the spirit of Fifa.

It grips me everytime
Everytime I see them play
22 of them, on the field
Running, tripping, sweating
They move, they pass, they jump
They fall, they stand, they hook
And suddenly it's clear to me
Its not just bout scores and stats and stuff
Its about a flawless play
Its not a matter of two opponents
Its played by several thousands
Laughing, cheering, grieving, praying
You won't see anywhere else
Love so pure, colours so bright
Its grips my everything
Everytime I see them play
My beautiful game
