Forty Russian women
Ask me every day
They beg me to friend them
On Facebook, so hey,
How come I spend
So much time all alone?
None of these Russian babes
Ever show up in my home.

They seem to be hot for me
And say such naughty things.
I have always thought that I
Wouldn't need to be a king
Or a rockstar for me to get
The attention of such chicks.
Who, me? Not even on a bet!

Yes, I friended several of these
goddesses from the steppes;
They all demanded promises
Of some very hefty tips.
While I am not a movie star
I don't look all that bad
That I have to pay for ***.
That would just be sad.

In truth I was foolishly hoping
That one of these ladies did
Want to meet someone like me
And  wondered where I was hid.
A recent Miss Moscow runner-up
That Trump had not over abused.
And here I sit with a lonely heart
Just waiting to get itself used.

So, like the fool at slot machines
I kept thinking the next would pay
And kept on reading those requests
And believing them every day.
I know there must be lovely girl
Who is looking for someone like me.
Im even studying Russian now, so
How much more perfect can I be?

True love, so rare to find
Those that findeth it, are they that are a match made in heaven
These, rare like a gemstone of class A
Are unselfish, compromise, care
Share what they have and give without expecting anything in return
They feel the pain of their partner, and laugh at silly things
These are forgiving and always ready to lend a hand
They make it easy to live with and are not ashamed to show their feelings
They smile when hurt, and don't count the wrongs
Nor do they hold grudges
Are not bitter or angry
They are supportive and pray for their partner
They encourage, challenge and criticise with love
They don't look down or think better of themselves but in humility acknowledge that they themselves are weak
They are like an oasis in a desert
Like a cold glass of water given in a heat wave
They are like a rare Ruby, Green garnet, Amethyst, a gemstone of highest quality
Who findeth?
In this selfish generation, driven by power and pride, many do not stop to think of their actions. They want to find love, yet they themselves are not willing to take the first step.
identity theft struck
a perfectly innocent man
his picture and written works
were stolen off the Facebook site

theft is punishable
under American law
they who partake in activities
like this ...
can expect to wear
a penalty

one such person
was Robert Dale Leadbeater
all of his personal details
were stripped away
by a criminal named
Evna Marylyn Jardis
who had a record
in committing this crime before ...

it took law agencies
a while to track down
the offender
but luckily for them
data was handed over
by Facebook's IT department

Evna is serving time
in an Arizona jail
and awaits an appeal
for bail

Be careful what you say
Be careful of your words
Tame your tongue
Let it speak life and not death

You can think anything
Imagine anything
But the words you speak create
With your words you can tear down
With your words you can build
With your words you can curse
With your words you can bless

When words leave your mouth
They go out to create
Life or death
Think wisely
Speak wisdom
Make your choice, I have made mine
Humans have power in the words they speak for they were made in the image of God

Disconnected

I am not unhinged
I am not incapable
But I am lonely.

I do not sit, indulging in what may have been
And what tomorrow brings
ports no comfort to me.

Where is real? What is felt?
Conversation snippets do not serve
To make me feel included
Perhaps deluded
I was popular once?

So goodbye to my 853 Facebook ‘friends’
My spurious liaisons ends
With nothing more than a status change.
And change it I must because,

I am not incapable
I am not unhinged
but I am lonely.
I wrote this when I was single and the world seemed to be conducting its affairs online. I craved face to face company. Fortunately, other friends have realised there's nothing like a 'proper' chat - and life is better.

when you go before kings, humble yourself
Learn to kneel or bow in respect
And in your ignorance forget not you are a subject

The king has power and has been placed in his office
To exercise the law and govern the land
To punish the lawless
And will not show partiality

Be silent unless asked to respond
For kings do not put up with foolishness
Approach the throne at the kings request
And do not walk with arrogance before the king

Why am I so obsessed
With checking my notifications
If no one texts me
It feels like suffocation
That little red dot
Next to my application
It ***** me off
When it won’t work down at the station
I've got a mate who's into spontaneous flirtation
He met a bird on this app
I think she's Croatian
They went on two dates
And then went on vacation
Meanwhile I'm sat at home
Watching babe station
I fell in love once
Then realised it was infatuation
She said I had no drive
But she had no imagination
When we go out
Theres no conversation
Even Siri
Gives me ******* quotations
My new phone
Is the new sensation
Checking Facebook
My only temptation
I check my phone
Just to know my location
**** it
I’ve had it...
With this nation

Hello
Is anyone out there
I'm trapped in a crazy world
Social media has taken control
Will you like my status?
Will you follow me?
Will you retweet this?
Will someone just be my real friend
Because at the end of this life
What the hell do I need a like for
I don't need 1m followers
I need connection
Attention that is more that 1's and 0's
Contact that is more than a poke on fb
I need a conversation face to face
Hello?
