touching everything and nothing
  all at the same time
    simply just existing
      but more importantly,
        thriving with
HOW ARE WE KILLING THE OCEAN
A SOLID 95% OF THE WORLDS LIVING SPACE COMES FROM THE OCEAN
                                 life of all kinds
being destroyed by mere human life
the world is not ours
HOW ARE WE KILLING THE OCEAN
we can save the world

This circle must complete
With each of Earth's orbit
It's a cycle that will repeat

But when global warming
Triggers mass glacial melting
From ozone layer's depleting

Where oil spills can ruin an ocean
Being used as garbage collection
Causing every ecosystem's suffocation

More landfills from over-consumption
Still, we opt for deforestation
Resulting in fresh water reduction

In disrupting her delicate cycle,
Can we understand that excess is not natural?
Wounded, it takes her longer to heal!

Like our mother, she has borne us all
Give her love! Must we watch her fall?
Open your eyes! Let's heed her call!

A Poem About Earth Day (Free Verse)
Sky Jun 2019
Get up at 6 am
Out at the park
Joggers and Dog walkers
Watch them run in circles

Head's bob to something motivational
I bet you find it relatable
Maybe inspirational?
Someday you'll see its all just sensational

I can't see a thing but the turbulence in the air
And some awful glare
Up behind that cloud up there
I just don't get why all you people like to stare

Sit alone and ponder, that fake lover
You thought you loved her?
Try and capture that in that your social blunder
As you burn up in the summer

Look around at this sick little plot of nature
Think your some kind of savior?
Ignorant of that melting glacier?
Huh, guess you wouldn't know much about being a maker

Look I know its tough
But your heart is puffed up in self righteous fluff
Its the weight on the other end of your handcuff
When are you gonna see that its enough?

Why don't you put those clock arms back
Back to when it was all pitch black
But now that I'm awake I finally see
Just how pointless it all could be.

But you know just as well as I
That there is one truth you can't deny
That time is on my side
Soon your heart will be as weathered as mine

Let the Gods be my wonder, be my light!
All things around me like fireworks ignite:
Just to see the world aglow in my sight,
Beautiful – like luminous paint, and bright!
Just one last time before it’s time to go:
I want our planet earth to be “just so”.
I want to see the lovely world unfold…
All nature is not to be picked and sold!
Spell not the word “evil” backwards for “live”;
Take not from the earth for all it can give!
Man on this planet is a one-off breed,
Motivated not by need but sheer greed.
Soon Mother Earth will shed us off like skin;
More power to her elbow – for her to win!
Washed ashore a mile away
the blackened puddle floats
immortal flame.

The slow heavy liquid, drizzled syrup-like
to stain the white.

Edge along the oil spill
A wave of polluted air inhaled
A trial of sadness poured
Muddied hands slick with more

A thousand years back in time,
It was greener than ever.
A legion of evergreen trees
and outgrown ting bushes.
A family of chirruping birds
to violent hungry beasts.
All in serenity as in home.

It was never uncanny
But it is now.

At present it is
only a land in dreams.
No less than hell it is
A place devoid of peace
with dead trees in piece.
A land of ever lost hope
as all animal lost their home.

In future darker it would be
and who did this - We!
It's time to choose - redeem or repent.

it’s funny you see
we didn’t ask to be born here
to this place or this family
but here we are
with our nation pride
and cultures that shape us
with friends bonded as time shared
and burden of our legacy

we are all learning and growing
to become our best selves
fighting against climate change,
and every environmental challenges
we are here to tackle these problems
into shaping a better future
for our future generation
and for ourselves

this is why we shouldn’t question where
we came from, which economic group...
we are all the same, living in the present
we are the ones who will continue to shape this world and this very nation

so please, care a little too much.
