Sunday
Where I'll be someday
I can't say
Where I'll go
I don't know
Endless directions
Limited options

Can't freeze, can't stall
No time to waste a tall
Obstacles to over come
Walls to be destroyed

I can't say, where I'll be
And I don't know when I'll leave
My hope, it's on my terms

how are you meant
to know what to do
with this one life
which you cannot undo
there is so much
to this thing called reality
getting everything right
seems far from practicality
i'm doing my best
like so many of us are
i just need direction
before i travel too far

my lower extremities
are coated lightly with
minute shards of glass,
my upper body loose from
chardonnay and sun beams

the water between is only angry because distance is disdain is
disbelief; a family finds solace
in the crashes of sad summer skies
and squinty eyes

i am not happy i am not sad
i am only breathing in the ocean’s
cries for calm, for quiet,
for familiar drunken fights
for love

my sunburn buried deep
solemn claims of reality;
direction is only a force
the stars have put in motion
moons pull me in opposites
but i remain

its great that you exist in my mind
because i can barely say two words to you
you are interesting
so i say in a poem
i will like to look deep in your eyes
i dont know how you will survive
like a wind blowing with confidence
i dont ask to dream about you
but when i close my eyes
i see you
but we live in different worlds
you dont believe in words
i dont believe in beauty

I would be a fool to compare
Your presence to that
Of a candle towering valiantly in a dark room,
Acting as a guide as some would say.
You would eventually burn out,
Leaving me alone with no sense of direction.

You are closer to a star
On an unpolluted night,
Making your way to me
No matter the distance.
And even though you may
Become sheathed at times,
Knowing you are always there
Brings me a sense of relief.

"It's you who choose"
That seems like a joke
To whose
Destiny was to die
as a child, in a war
Or to ***,
under 18,
as ***** in a bar!

Maybe i got to much spice for yah
Or you just ain't a fan of spicy food
Not sure why your starving me
There are plenty of spices too choose
You got me on that mood
I dont wanna be fighting you
Never wanted to, but you digging in
Was too low from you
Somebody else has dirter hands in all this
Who finally stepped up to take care of you
Its just perfect all at my expense
Wouldn't want it any other way
Maybe it was my mistake.
What are you going to do?
If your counting now
Start count with the people close to you
Figure out which one helped you.
But whats the past
I'm just following the future
That's something you knew from day one
Didn't you?

Where are you?
