Every morning I wanna show a leg
But it's quarantine, I have to hit the sack
Every noon I wanna taste another glass from a keg
But it's quarantine, I have to cover the crack
Every evening I wanna shake a leg
But it's quarantine, we're on the wrong track
Every night I wanna learn tap dance with Craig
But it's quarantine, on it I have to go back
Every midnight I wanna take my beloved down a peg
But it's quarantine, the whip adversely crack
What a nonsense life! It totally pegged out
I do need pep talk, day in day out
What is worse, we burnt all of our boats
Now either beat it or turn your coats
Alas for us! We became wretched
Save the mark, life seems far fetched
Life is but a span
Grind the subject
If you're really a man.
This is a poetical reaction to current critical conditions.

Even the pipilikas maybe
kept an ear to the ground
and heard the men on earth’s
news of the year: it works!
Pfizer-BioNTech jab is out.

Finally the Covid-19
vaccine is on our hand
life hopefully will soon be normal!

Along with everyone else me too
is absolutely over the moon
yet something I can’t forget.
Like how that came months ago
on 27 Ramadan 2020 in London.
I was still in sleep in the morning
in a dream but turned out to be real
indeed touched by lovely safest hands
promptly vaccinated me there and then.

Know not how that could key out
off the safe the trillion dollar vaccine at first!
All I know when that hands of love tie a knot
it becomes the undoable perfect circle.

The path we take is like a long, winding road.
Twist and turns leads us in the face of danger,
But the danger is no stranger to us.

We’ve been down this road before.
We’ve been through hell and back.

Yet somehow, even though this experience.
Is different from the rest,
We’re scared.

We fear for our lives.
And those around us.

We want relief. We want normalcy.
But we know we must wait.
We must endure, we must persist,
And we must carry on.

We can see the horizon ahead.

Like a light at the end of the tunnel,
We know we’re not far from freedom.

We know if we push forward,
We can escape from this hell,
This purgatory we’ve been trapped in
For several years.

The end is in sight,
And this time
we will make it out.
The coronavirus pandemic has taken a turn for the worst. Hospitals are filling to capacity, families are losing their loved ones, and many are scared for their own lives. Due to partisan politics, relief won't happen anytime soon, but we must cling on to hope. Vaccines will soon be rolling out later this year for the first responders, and general availability for the rest of us in the Spring. There is a light at the end of this tunnel. We must push forward and make it out of this hell.

It's crazy how just one message can change your whole mood.
"They're intubating me,
hopefully only for five days,
don't tell your mom,
I'll see you soon".
Almost a month of this medical misery,
waking up each day in my own form of atrophy.
Scratch until my skins raw,
blood under my nails,
didn't feel that at all.
It all happened so fast we didn't have a plan,
caught up in the middle of this disaster first hand.
It's all new,
this fall sweater of numbness and terrible news.

In his arms I felt safe
There was nothing to be afraid of.
No monster could take him away,
He was the man that always saved me.

He danced with me as I, slowly, fell asleep in his arms,
And tucked me to bed at night.

Stories were created,
The ones I still remember.

On his shoulders I felt tall,
I felt I could fly, touch the sky,
And even though I'm afraid of heights,
I still tried to be brave.

In his heart I was still her little girl,
And it was hard for him to let me grow up.

When the time came, and it was time for me to let him go,
I whispered in the silent living room of my house, "You can let go, Dad. I'll always be proud of you"

With his physical absence,
I feel broken and lost.
There's nothing I wouldn't do to bring him back home.

So, when I'm crying,
I think of that little girl,
The one sitting on her dad's shoulders.

The one that never knew what death was.
The one that created memories without knowing that.

I think about him,
And I can see him smile.
No more pain,
Just peace and love.

In my heart, he's still around,
Still laughing and hugging me,
Teaching me how important life is.

We can be gone in a second,
But  even if covid took him away,
It  couldn't take something from him...

HIS LOVE.
HIS LOYALTY.
HIS LEGACY.
OUR MEMORIES TOGETHER...

Love remains; it always does.

Miss you, daddy 🖤🥀

It's not you, it's me,
I need a break, to be free,
Kindly leave me be.
A Haiku to Covid. Kindly get the **** out of our lives.

This question may seem weird
But have you seen my beard?
These nigh-on months it hides to my dismay

For in these COVID times
It slips easily from mind
And never has it seen the light of day

Each morning I have paused
To spy this ****** gauze
Then covered it and tucked it all away

I have kept it out of sight
While it’s turned from dark to white
I could fool reindeer and ride on Santa’s sleigh

But for now covered it stays
No white wool will reach your gaze
Until COVID’s gone, no ****** hair displays!

Being responsible
She didn't said
She got covid-19
As usual

Here I contibuted
To the National count
That's what she said

Stay hydrated
Stay ventilated
Stay strong
Stay loved
Get well soon
That's what he said

Earlier in the morning
I’d read the movements of a stalwart blackbird
flicking dead leaves on my concrete driveway,
gleaning for grubs

Later, as I unloaded the weekly food shop,
substitute, as it was, for fun,
I heard an imperious cry,

scrolling up, the fork-tailed red kites circled
in a sunshine that denied pathetic fallacy

and the screech they made meant nothing
