What is wrong with me?
Unregulated hormones up the wall?
I'm getting older, arn't these hormones supposed to chill out?
(STRESS)
I already use man-deodorant.
It lasts longer and works better.
My body had abandoned hope for women's Secret or smelling like Teen Spirit long ago.
(STRESS)
Three applications a day.
Avoid synthetics, they hold smell.
Shower every morning to manage.
The sweet scent of Gain can only do so much.
(STRESS)
The state of our current political affairs, is the root cause.
Lacking basic human rights, is the root cause.
A country of ignorant people spreading hate, is the root cause.
(STRESS)
Deodorant doesn't stand a chance!

Mama see that black man?
Is he friend or foe?
My daughter asks this question
While we’re walking home
To which I must reply
With words that need no thought
I tell her, every man is different
If they’re black or if they’re not
A black man, is special though
And please do not forget
White boys like to party
And leave you all alone
But though the world treats them badly
A black man builds a home

I saw a young man die
And I tried not to cry
But that look in his eye
We couldn’t say goodbye

I saw a white woman scream
Of her BLM dream
With a black and white team
Now just running on steam

I saw a strong man kneel
Then they forced him to heel
Couldn’t feel his ideal
Oh now watch them reel

I used to do nothing
Neither huffing, nor puffing, or even discussing
But that there is wrong
It is doing such harm
For being neutral
Is giving the world very, very little
The discussions and recitations are on my YouTube channel Vindex's Vids

Couldn’t be bothered to remove your knee
from a man’s neck.

Couldn’t be bothered to protect
the huddled masses of poor,
when you and your buddies can make more
from building machines and waging wars.

Couldn’t be bothered to tell our youth
the deep and painful truth
about our history.

Couldn’t be bothered until you were
inconvenienced;
Until your bosses see this
and you get in trouble
for vile rants.

Couldn’t be bothered to be
a decent human being,
and you wonder why
people cry,
let it burn.

I see the older generations say
“I miss the good ole days”
“I miss the America I grew up in”
Do they fail to realize that their generation did this?
Their generation ruined the economy
Their generation poisoned the earth
Their generation drained the Earth of her resources
Their generation segregated people of color
Their generation disowns their children for being gay
Their generation is full of hate
But go on, please,
tell me how my generation is ruining the world.
My generation who is chanting Black Lives Mater
My generation who is trying to reduce their plastic usage
My generation who is fighting for LGBT+ rights
My generation who is fighting for women to have the right to their body
My generation who is still in school
My generation who is mentally unstable
But still is trying to make things right.
My generation is doing the things their generation failed to.
Their generation had their time, and they failed their children
Their grandchildren
So now it’s time for a new generation
My generation

We are the youth
Full of "fcked up kids"
Up to "no good"
Trying to "f
ck with you"

We are the youth
That wants something new
"Live in this world
But have no clue?"

You try not to see
What we could be
If you would stop making us bleed

We fight for our lives
'Cause we're nothing to you

Just walk in my shoes
And see what you do

I'd rather be part of this youth
Than stuck in a loop
Of narcissistic views

"No one is safe with these kids on the loose
Trying to take the world from you"

Listen to us now
We are the youth
We are the youth
that won't be subdued

We fight for our lives
'Cause we're nothing to you
Just needed to let some thoughts out on what is happening in the world right now.
