I missed him when he was away
I felt everything when he was around
All it took was a "hey"
To make my heart start to pound

Hadn't felt them in years
A thousand butterflies with each kiss
But it would all end in tears
I wish his first "hi" I'd miss

His feelings were locked in a cage
He cared only for himself
He would spit words in a rage
Made me feel bad about myself

But this magic was so rare
I tried to keep it alive, to fight
I tried my best, I swear
But it takes two to make a thing go right

And so in the end
We couldn't agree on anything
What we had, I couldn't mend
So I said "Goodbye, darling"

I missed him when he was away
But felt nothing when he was around
He killed the magic

Hello,
Someone,
Anyone,
Please hear me.
Hello,
Father,
Mother,
Please listen.
There is something I have been meaning to tell you.
The issues in my head won't go away,
and sometimes I look at you and think you don't love me,
I am so insecure about my personality,
So I lie to mask myself.
This anxiety is ripping parts of me away,
The parts that can't be replaced,
There is no transplant to replace my mind.
Hello,
Someone,
Anyone,
Please hear me.
Hello,
Father,
Mother,
Please listen.
There is something I have been meaning to tell you.
I am slowly dying inside and I don't think you understand.
This is serious almost inconspicuous,
So this is what I ask of you,
Please tell me that you love me,
Reassure me that you care,
Bring out myself in me,
and show me that you're there,
This is the only way to get better
Reassurance is key
This will help me put back the me in me.
Sincerely,
A anxiety filled body.
Saplings... This is true.

i wish i hadn't talked
i wish i hadn't said anything
i should have bit my tongue
and kept my silence
i didn't want things to get this violent
nothing good comes when i let words escape my mouth
i wish i hadn't said a word
i wish i knew how to drown without spitting up water

You said you can't because you don't feel the same
But you don't have to feel the same!
Actually, don't even care about me!

Just use me,
Use me to satisfy your desires
Use me to fill your needs
Use me like a piece of cloth
Use me to wipe your tears
Use me to dry your blood
Use me to clean your dirt

Then just throw me away
Or break me into pieces

It doesn't matter as long as I get to touch you again

Maybe I will catch someone's eye
The way she catches mine.

Lord, depose our Apollo,
Be our true Lord of Poetry
And so give us poetic licence
To fulfil,
To craft,
To create
With a God given palette
In your own imagery.

Blaze a trail from your heart
To the spirits of men,
Taking captives and setting them free
To feast on your words of life,
To move to your music of love,
To emerse into an eternity of dance,
To celebrate and so to reflect
Your devine Artisan Soul.
Inspired by a passing reference to Apollo.  Apparently Apollo was the Olympian god of prophecy and oracles, healing, plague and disease, music, song and poetry, archery, and the protection of the young.
The prevalence of poetry in the Bible tells me that God is the true Lord of Poetry.
