Whether you know it's coming or not

But to know not of what is to come
Is a true blessing,
As knowing your fate
Leaves only space to wait

And waiting, is not living
But rather an inescapable torture

You cannot hide from the inevitable.

From a young age
I have been advised to recognize my 
Feelings
To know why I feel
To know what I feel

And I am grateful for this advice
Because through awareness I have found control

But now I'm too aware of how I feel
