It's raining again today
How many days does this make
Praying for heaven sake
For this pain to go away

But of course it never does
It keeps digging itself up
All of this just because
Pain is all a part of love

Always coming back for more
Trying to even up the score
The battle between the head and heart
Where pain and love get their start
i bet you never had
someone hit you
so hard
like a wave.

i bet you never
thought the day
would come
where someone
would be so eager
to stay.

well i can’t make
any promises,
and you can’t expect
to do the same either,
but when i look at you,
something speaks truth,
and i just gotta
tell you.

i wanna know you.
i wanna know what gets you
going like you do.
i wanna know you.
why do you do the things you
do?

on friday night,
do you like to watch horror movies?
or are you the type,
to hang with your groupies
and smoke a doobie outside?

well, i’d choose neither.
and i **** at pulling
all-nighters,
but this little song
is not about me.

hey there,
hey you,
when i look at you,
something speaks the truth,
and i just gotta tell you.

i wanna know you.
i wanna know what gets you
going like you do.
i wanna know you.
why do you do the things you
do?

they say if you ever lose
your sense of spark,
then something isn’t right.

and i can’t promise
to always be your sunshine,
but i’ll try and i’ll try
to always be the light.

if you’re in a room,
and you feel the gloom,
and nothing feels like
it’s going right,
look at me,
and you’ll see
somebody who likes

the way that you are,
the way that you do,
oh, you, hey you,
i’m digging you.

cause when i look at you,
something speaks truth,
and i just gotta
tell you.

i wanna know you.
i wanna know what gets you
going like you do.
i wanna know you.
why do you do the things you
do?

i bet you never had
someone hit you
so hard
like a wave.

i bet you never
thought the day
would come
where someone
would be so eager
to stay.

i wanna know everything.
because you’ve got that something,
that i can’t explain.

You don't have to say
"I love you."

Because when you take a kiss from me.
It's just us filling this landscape.

Colouring the outlines of a dull world.
In bright pastels.

Our entire life is one big memory.
Reliving our love over and over.

Please rely on me a little more.
Don't go crying in a split second.

You don't have to say
"I love you."

Because when you take a kiss from me.
It's just us filling this landscape.

A dream world that consists of only us.
This world is a story about us.

Please don't leave me.
Where did you even go?

Life flashes before our eyes.
Running by so fast.
So I press pause.
And rewind back to the start.

You don't have to say
"I love you."

Because when I hear it I go cold.
It's only us.

I never want to wake up.
From this dream-like escape.

Don't take me from your warmth.
Close the blinds - the suns too bright.

Give me five more minutes, please.

Love
I guess I won that stupid fight of "I love you more."
To be in love is to be sad,
when your side doesn't meet mine in bed,
when a message sent stays unread,
when not even a day with you fulfils
the ever filling cup of need I have for you.

To be in love is to be scared,
if this time is the last to hold your hand,
if you've had a change of heart,
if you're not sharing enough of what
I want to give to you.

To be in love is lonely,
thinking of all the time lost when it's not shared with you,
wanting to slip in the bodies of other people you talk to,
just so I can be close and never miss out on you.

But to be in love is to be comforted,
a reassuring shoulder for tears to splatter on,
a lantern in the dark, a hose to the fire;
to be in love is to smile, to free the mind and soul,
to entwine heartbeats even when days grow old.
To be in love is to be fearless.

To be in love with you
is worth it.
These feelings of love
Make us throw off contentment
To find something more
You used to love me
But I never used to love
Who I used to be
