You work to pay your way threw life, while you pray to last another day. As time goes by you realize the strength it takes to play this game.

So I live the life I want outgoing and against amendments, earth to me is jail so i work to serve my sentence. Forced to spend eternity behind walls that don't exist. These walls were built tall and created by mental bricks.

The shackles of self doubt keep us chained down to the surface. While we deal with the stress, pain, and emotional damage, from a journey of life's questions  and the absence of answers.

It's even harder to think clear when all these distractions surround you, while brick walls made of thoughts create obstacles around you.

We create these walls and build them tall as a form of self protection, but when your guard is always up doubt will leave yourself defenseless.

With each conflict that we deal with our mental sentence extends. So bend the bars and break down the walls, from out the prison that's within.

The Universe sang
A song close to my heart.
And in it I lost myself
Choosing Dreams over Whispers
And Life over Death.

The Stars called out
And in their blaze
I sought to find my Light.
As I poured out my everything
I realized that You were all that I had.

The Night almost at its end
I draw your figure in the Sand.
The dark skies barely frighten me
Not more than the distance
You keep between our Hearts.

The Universe sang to me
A Song I thought I never knew.
It led me home to the prairies
Where the northern wind
Blew strong, a magic of the Stardust.

I knew the Shadows
Would one day return,
A Haunting, my dreams never fond of.
But if the Storm got too rough
I'd sing the Song the Universe sang.

And in it I'll lose myself,
Once again.
Because in it, I came to know
The only Reason that keeps me alive.
*Because in it, I found You.

The way you stare
as if the galaxies
are right in front of you.

The way you smile,
like you've discovered
a new type of hue.

Too bad you're looking at her,
and
not me.
A poem about witnessing the one you love look at the one they love and it's not you.
There will come a time
When the one who planted you
Will be nowhere to be found.
You'll wonder
Why they'd left you
As such a little sprout.
But then you'll start to realize
That maybe it's your time to
Bloom
Without someone to water you.

Maybe it's time to rely on the rain.
Goodbye to one of the first few people who believed in my writing! Wherever you may go next, I hope you will water many others, like you did with me.

Lunar
i sharpened my senses
and stabbed him with my words
getting back at him for everything
on the way; two-thirds
the ink stains my hands
like his blood on my skin
regret, remorse, frustration
myself, all i felt within
in time, wounds will heal
and feelings will fade
except the scars we gave each other
and the words to you i gave

You always tell me the name of your favorite book
Yet the next month you tell me of the one you've read that you like one hundred times better
You've told me your favorite color
But once your eyes have rested upon a new one,
Your favorite color alters to the one you find more appealing
You always listen to your favorite song
But by now you've played on repeat at least hundreds of different "favorite" songs of yours
This is why I'm scared when you call me your favorite
And I constantly fear that when someone better crosses your path
I will be tossed over your shoulder like a piece of trash
And forgotten for eternity
