Reminiscence
Euphie Dec 2018
Things were fine just the way they were,
holding hands and locking lips.
Laughing and crying,
feeling every single emotion a human could.

Here in these hands,
lies every stanza, of my life.

His lips tasted of sour wine
a wine that takes the pain away.
A wine that I would drown myself in forever.

they come and go.

What Life Took From Me
Euphie Dec 2018
What else do you want from me?
I can give you the sun, the moon,
and the stars.

But to you, that is not enough.

Please, don't go and boast
that you have stolen my heart.
That is the last thing that I want
on my mind.

I can no longer go on,
with this unsettling feeling.
It freezes over my skin,
like winter coating the earth with snow.

I have nothing more to give
from what life took from me.

I have nothing more to give.
I have nothing left anymore.

Milk & Honey
Euphie Dec 2018
Lost in a dream, within a dream,
of who I thought you once were.

Needless to say, I still hold onto it,
like a glass of wine,
that is filled to the brim.

Golden Girl
Euphie Dec 2018
She is like the colour of gold,
dipped from the sun's rays,
in everlasting bliss.
a guy I once fancied told me I was like gold, so I wrote it down on a paper napkin. I still have that napkin till this day.
