you're not doing well
with skin like bed sheets
ebbing tides in your forehead
and the malady that keeps your mind guessing,

these next six nights
of not having to feel
so alone will make you
fall back into sleep
to grow roots.

i'll cut holes in the ozone
to put your heartache in

i'll walk you to the hospital,
i'll wait in a white room,
place your sad eyes in my drawers
until my hand breaks

the universe is twice as big as we think it is
and 'you are so important to me'
is easier to digest than
skipping heart beats

i miss you like a dart hits the iris of a bullseye,
or a train ticket screams 4:30 at 4:47,
and
i've fallen in love

you're the only one that made that idea
less devastating.
cut-out poetry i made for a project back in november 2016. i used lucas regazzi's poems called small and bedside table.

EDIT 170829: none of the lines used here are mine!! they're all taken from the poems mentioned above :)

I look up
at the stars,
and sometimes I
think of all
the parallel
universes and
hope to ****
I’m doing better in
one
of them.

I try hard not to worry
if i'm right or if i'm wrong
endeavor to be more bird than bard
and sing my merry song
and sing my merry song

just so you know,
I make a lot for you.
more than I ever show you
It's just that, I can't quite seem to give it to you quick enough
Much like what we're all in, my love for you expands infinitely.
Defying the laws of time and space, a hawk and eagle soar the cosmos laughing while howling along the way
the value of your freedom means as much to me as it does to me
To sing you a poem or whistle the notes of your reflection back at you
Would only ever be, at least, a little golden lie to you
honesty non inherent
truth only achieved if presenting my creations as time capsules of my boundless, ever-changing love for you
trapped.
there is one little corner of my soul that you won't be able to see, but only because it must be hard to view from that vantage point
the eye of the storm

trapped inside of space and time with you.

Once, he was asked,
"Tell me what is true.
Why is it that you
write just what you do?"

He laughed, and said
with half a smile,
"I write so you'll
fall in love for a while."

After a pause, he said pleasantly,
"Not with me - I'm a liar, you see,"

And grinning wildly,
he spoke his conclusion:
"Love is a poet's favourite illusion."
As requested, the full version of the poem that long-adorned my bio.

summer is lonely
without direction
and I'm ******
I prefer living in the shadows
and imagining dreamy tones
lost on auto pilot
foggy days
time is a concept that has gone away
but I still feel like I have something to say
nothing comes out or up anyway
but maybe that's okay
for just a few more days

Some thoughts I am having before my meeting with Senator Joni Ernst. I'll finish it later, but not too shabby for writing it in 2 minutes.

Let me breathe you in
As though electricity were oxygen
On the tips of our tongues

How easily butterflies turn to fire
Amid stolen kisses
And whispering fingertips

Singe me with your lips
******* whimpers
Burn me slowly

Hearts and wings aflutter
To die by your touch
Is to die alive...

This was the first poem I ever wrote!

Your eyes, like mine; They
glisten in the sunlight, but
weep buckets at night.
