I've only lived so many years

Only lived in so many places

Have only met so many people
And have only experienced so many things

But I've lived more than one life through every connection

Lived in all of the places they have been

Felt every feeling one feels with their loved ones

And have seen time as they have seen
it

unwind

And though it may seem impossible

through their eyes I see me

the world

in their reflection
see yourself in this as you see it. and then ask why.
I live for dandelions
That bloom between the cracks
Blinding strikes of happiness
Thriving in desecration

Have you ever seen a field of them?
Reclaiming where they may
It nary ceases to amaze
They always seem to say:

“Life continues”
If a flower can retake concrete, then I can make it through too.

If there comes a time
that you might lose me
Find me in my poetry
She moves with such fluidity in your atmosphere draping herself like sheer satin, elegantly etherial...
I feel like cotton underpants
My mouth heavy with words that refuse to reach for air and tie my tongue down and crowd around my throat
My foot steps are heavier, earthier,  than her tip toe grace
Elegant hands drape so adorningly over your shoulders
Her eyes dance with depth
her lips sing with spirited conversation
Mine a steady and constant gaze deep and unyielding
with lips given to sullenness,
And still you gravitate towards me as if she didn't exist

there is a path and its yours
you may never find it
but that's not so important
as the fact you tried
If I only had one day to live, I would start early to make amends. I would undo all that I had done  to hurt strangers and friends and the family that I love. I would give more than I have ever given before. I would do that and just a little bit more. I would share words of kindness with everyone I saw. I would not be to busy for anyone at all. I would step outside and enjoy whatever the day would bring. I would dance whether it was sun, snow, or even dark clouds and rain. I would make each second precious because I would know it would be my last. Then when the sun set and I breathed my last, I would thank God in heaven that he let me go out this way. I would be very grateful that I had just one special day.

The hawk must be the only one.

I know he sees me -
He makes a sign.
A secret code
That siblings use
When speaking straight
Might ensnare.

I walk through worlds
With quiet steps.
But not too near
That any see
Or feel my breath
Or even guess.

Yes.

The hawk may be
The only one.

My wings are straight.
My wings are strong.
And one day soon
I'll fly to him.
