The birds chirp outside
Rain crashes in sleek pools
Small ants are crawling
Nature is beautiful

Blistering words stab blades in my heart
Cut through with agility
Feverish whispers are deflected
Reflects inner tranquility
You glimmer within scope of my vision
Treasured pearls of peace
Flicker like a candle flame
No intention to cease
I will not believe shiny veil
Hollow vows of devotion
Hot embers in the pit of my soul
Blind the onset of emotion
I charge forward
War cry loud
With sword I defend my love
The perfection too good to be true
Angel from above
For I know you are the pinnacle of deceit
Moments I spend in confusion
Make it so hard to deny sweet confessions
I've grown too used to convincing delusions
Sometimes you dont realize how far in denial you are until it all comes crashing down

Tatterdemalion

Let October’s fool fall
With the autumn dusk;
A cornfield tatterdemalion
With terrible teeth
And broomstick hands.
High on the hill,
Encircled by dancing children
And harvest lovers,
Jack’s pumpkin blazes
As yellow as prairie gold
Under the ghostly lantern moon.

A belated Halloween experiment - partially reconstituted poetry. More dilute and less tasty than its CS inspiration. ;)

‘I spot the hills
With yellow ***** in autumn.
I light the prairie cornfields
Orange and tawny gold clusters
And I am called pumpkins.
On the last of October
When dusk is fallen
Children join hands
And circle round me
Singing ghost songs
And love to the harvest moon;
I am a jack-o'-lantern
With terrible teeth
And the children know
I am fooling.’

I went out to find
Some value in me,
So I sold what I had
For little a fee.

My eyes for a penny
I sold to some fools,
They're blind and useless,
Mistook for jewels.

My lips for a nickel
To the sweetest sin,
So they'll know the love
That has never been.

My ears for a dime
I sold to a lover.
To hear sweet nothings,
And silence uncover.

My hands for a quarter
I sold to a ghost,
So that she might feel
What I've wanted the most.

Finally my bones for a dollar
I sold to the earth,
But as for my soul-
There was found no worth.

you're not what you seem to be

collecting stars
to glow in the dark

all this money wasted
are you happy with me

should I quiet down
do I talk too much

slowly losing interest
you're everything I imagined

there's nothing special inside you

an empty smile

haunting me in my sleep

Love away

Love would be no sweeter
Than the love they give me
Tastes like caramel
and eating...
Cookie dough off a spoon
Love could be no softer
Than the skin between their thighs
Their hand in mine
The feeling of hair sifting through fingers...
The thought of more than just their soft hair between my fingers....
Love should be no less
Than all the secrets I’ve shared
The vulnerability of being theirs
The desire...
For them as my own
And worshipping the inches between my mouth and their....
Temple
Love cannot be anymore lovely
Than this river of passion and protective nature
Rushing out my pores and washing us away
carry us...
Away

She sat alone.
Alone and at home.
Where her screams were silent,
But her mind was violent.
Her insecurities hid deep inside.
And they indeed, ate her alive.
A tear rolled down her face
As her heart began to race.
She took her blade and tore her skin,
Where her depression lied deep within.
This went on for days,
Months,
Years,
And until she cried her very last tears.
She decided she had enough,
The world around her was much too tough.
She took a gun to her head.
Congratulations society,
She is dead.
